About this deal

I used these gorgeous purple baking cups from Iced Jems, as I wanted to stick with the purple theme. If you do require precise ingredients or nutritional information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label.

Enjoy this melt-in-the-mouth flavour and professional look with our Cadbury Fudge Flavour Icing today! Get the famous Fairy Liquid Original or try the Tesco Expert Naturally Powered Lemon Washing Up Liquid for a change. We can help you and if you go to our Homecare Section you can choose from tried and trusted UK products which will get the job done. You can use a 1M piping tips instead, or even a jumbo round piping tip to create lovely toppings though. As a completely optional part of this recipe, I decided to core out the cupcakes and fill it with Cadbury’s spread. I’m just wondering would this buttercream recipe be good to cover a 4 layer vanilla sponge (your white chocolate drip cake recipe) or would one with just coco powder be better texture wise?

The timings will vary depending on cake size, and how many layers you are making and so on – but I’m not 100% sure on timings for 7″ cakes as I always make 8″! I made these today and although gorgeous I found the sponge a little dry, any reason why this may of been? I mix this with vegan cream, and sometimes Fluff - vegan marshmallow spread - to go on vegan gf cakes for celebration cakes (I adapt the Ed Balls sandwich cake recipe where he uses cream instead of butter for the mix) and the whole family just loves it. Sieve the icing sugar and cocoa into a bowl and using a wooden spoon, beat in the chocolate mixture along with 1 tbsp hot water. I love it, I always have – and melting it to dip strawberries in is my favourite quick dessert ever.Cadburys is more complicated than other chocolate but this does usually happen because of temp differences. I was just wondering if this would work as well with plain flour and a certain amount of baking powder/baking soda as opposed to the self raising flour?

As your baby grows you may want to try Farley's Rusks Original which we think just about everyone in the UK was raised on! Thx to Mrs Hinch I have now baked the orea drip cake for my daughter lockdown birthday and Cadbury’s cupcakes. There is plenty of icing to fill and cover an 8" cake or top 12 cupcakes, either using a piping bag or a rounded knife. I was looking to bake a dairy milk drip birthday cake for my brother and was wondering how much of the melted chocolate would I need for the buttercream please? If you ever get in the situation where your chocolatey buttercream becomes grainy for example – a splash of whole milk or cream is best to bring it back!
