About this deal

Celestron’s SkyMaster Series of large aperture binoculars are a phenomenal value for high performance binoculars ideal for astronomical viewing or for terrestrial (land) use - especially over long distances. The Celestron SkyMaster 25x70 binoculars are acceptable but just not particularly easy to use, and their 25x magnification provides few advantages over more typical 12x70 and 15x70 binoculars to justify the many compromises otherwise necessary in the design. The case is adequately padded and features a sturdy handle, making it easy to carry the binoculars to various observing locations.

The Celestron SkyMaster 25x70s feature fold-down eyecups with a 50mm (2-inch) diameter and an interpupillary distance (IPD) that can be adjusted between 56mm and 72mm. Fixing your binocular to a tripod can go a long way in helping you achieve a really stable platform for a shake free view, as well as free up your hands to do something else and take the weight off your arms enabling you to relax, which is important should you want to observe an area over a long period of time.

Get ready for a night of astroimaging with your mount faster than previously thought possible with All-Star Polar Alignment. Sure you get a more stable view using a tripod and possibly people with shaky hands may find it difficult, but I would say that the average fairly fit person should be able to do the same. With such a long minimum focusing distance, it was harder than normal to look for any color fringing around the edges of objects caused by chromatic aberration as I usually find it easier to spot on nearer objects.

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . Looking at smaller deep-sky objects, like planets, stars and clusters a tripod is pretty much essential to keep the view steady enough. Like the majority of binoculars I review, these SkyMaster's are tripod adaptable, but unlike most "standard", general use binoculars, the need to attach these to a tripod is far greater. Must admit though that when seeing the accessories that came with the Celestron SkyMaster 25x70, I was expecting a kind of mini raincoat for the binoculars and wasn't too disappointed to not find it in the box as the main attraction was there. Please be aware that The Widescreen Centre cannot be held responsible for any postal or third-party delays that may occur. Celestron's SkyMaster Series of large aperture binoculars are a phenomenal value for high performance binoculars ideal for astronomical viewing or for terrestrial (land) use - especially over long distances. I had previously owned a pair of the same range smaller magnification binos at 15x70 a couple of years ago but sold them on after slimming down my equipment, and whilst there are certainly better binos out there, I knew that as long as there was no problem with alignment between the two barrels of the binos, then acceptable views where available from them. I have a monopod too which I use for quick looks withthe binis, but the tripod is much better for longer more stable views of objects. Best pair of Binoculars I have ever owned, the only comment I can make is to purchase a metal mount as the weight of the Binoculars makes the plastic one supplied flex too much side ways whilst viewing.
