I had a Samsung MS650 before and the SK10Y has a much wider sound, the only thing I wish it had was a little higher and balanced centre volume for voices, even after the update, because the music and effects can get loud compared to people speaking, also I wish they update to DTS X but that looks like not happening since the new models this year are having them. Power output is quoted as 200W and frequency response is 35Hz – 23kHz. I'm sure monitor audio asb will be better but I don't think it will be by much. Remember if u want that extra bass u have the option to connect the sub, I can tell it transforms it even more, also it automatically sets the crossover to 80hz. If you own a whopping great TV and want to boost its sonic potential, there aren’t many better ways of doing it than the DM100. With its immense power, gorgeous detail and snappy dynamics, it’s the closest you’ll come to a proper home-cinema experience without buying a receiver and 5.1 speakers. There are a few minor sonic issues, but nothing that can’t be ironed out with a little tweaking.

If the issue persists, you might prefer to add an external subwoofer (in which case the DM100 rolls off low frequencies at 80Hz) – it’s great that Canton gives you the option. However, with judicious tweaking most people should be perfectly happy with the Canton’s built-in subs. Once properly integrated, bass sounds fast and agile, starting and stopping on a dime. There are multiple reports on their forums from people with the same issue on different bars. The devices work fine when plugged straight into the tv but there's lipsync issues via arc which you can't adjust sufficiently so it's in sync. Resist the urge to push the bass level up to 3 and you’ll enjoy seamless, non-directional bass that doesn’t sound boomy.
