About this deal

On-Ear Professional Monitor Headphones with exceptional clarity throughout an extended frequency range. The solid bottom end, a hallmark of a direct drive is accounted for, extending up through the mids into a sweet if somewhat bright top end.

That half-century’s worth of analog expertise goes into every turntable we produce, ensuring you get the best listening experience from your vinyl. Excellent Service A purchased an Audio Technica LP5X deck from Tony at Leicester over the telephone. The good news is you don't need to follow any additional steps to activate your extended 6-year warranty.Audio-Technica’s LP5X features upgraded tech, while keeping the style and performance of its acclaimed predecessor, the LP5. Keeping the classic signature Audio Technica design but with upgraded technology, AT-L5PX is performance enhancing, smoother playing and hands on.

Removing the platter and quickly turning the motor on and off again proved that the motor/spindle was indeed the source, and it even appeared excessive friction may be slowing the spin slightly. The AT95 was a talented enough device but the VM95 is able to extract more information and display a greater level of three dimensionality while it does it. Perhaps the most obvious nod to AT’s heritage on display here is the j-shaped tonearm, a design harking back to Audio-Technica and SME arms of the 60s. A Swedish public limited company (publikt bankaktiebolag) registered with the Swedish Companies Registration Office with organisation number: 556737-0431.Take your vinyl listening experience to the next level thanks to its enhanced low-frequency reproduction and enjoy the aesthetics of the AT-LP5x's elegant matte black finish. Experience the unparalleled clarity of the AT-LP5X with its direct drive motor, delivering superb pitch stability. AT-LTP5X is fully manual, operating with three speeds and incorporating damping materials to minimise vibrations and reduce feedback without affecting the sound quality.

When it arrived it was in the original packing with all the bits removed from the turntable and carefully packed. The AT-LP120 is what I have had for years so I just have accessories (like a heavy AT record weight) that compliment a direct drive turntable and that was sort of what brought me back to vinyl, so there is a bit of a comfort zone. An avid vinyl collector and coffee addict, I can often be found at a workbench tinkering with a faulty electronic device, tweaking a turntable to extract the last bit of detail from those tiny grooves in the plastic stuff, or relaxing in front of the hi-fi with a good album. Its durable plinth not only aids in reducing unwanted vibrations, but it also boasts an attractive and modern design.

The competition is stronger than ever though and there’s some excellent hardware vying for your money. With the included Audacity software, listeners can capture and edit their favorite vinyl records in high-quality digital formats. Do you reckon there’s any point to starting with it, then getting a decent external pre-amp, and eventually, proceeding with down the MC rabbit hole? With Protect Plus for your technology, you'll get 2 years of protection against accidental damage alongside your guarantee.

The classic design, upgraded with modern technology, guarantees a stable and smooth operation, making it a standout choice among turntables. but really wanted to see if there were some comparable Direct Drive tables before making a purchase. Yes, the competition is stronger and more numerous but this is a fine turntable that balances character and capability to excellent effect and entertains while it does so. Switching the phono stage off and moving to the iFi Zen Phono (to say nothing of the Cyrus), drops the noise floor further and reveals more information and better tonal realism at the same time.

Place the rotor back and allow it to sink down into the bearing, giving it a spin and a gentle push to help it. The motor whips the platter up to speed quickly with a slight growl as it locks onto the correct speed. Effectively, the surface of the AT-LP5x plinth provides a single, rotating knob which infuses the deck with power and selects the speed (there’s three of those, including 78rpm). Combined with the cast aluminium platter and low resonance chassis, it gives the AT-LP5X ideal speed stability for perfect pitch and the lowest distortion. Registered Office: 4th - 6th floor Wellington Buildings, 2-4 Wellington Street, Belfast, BT1 6HT (Northern Ireland - company number NI032565).
