I wanted a genuine essence of the beach boys album without any dilution or badly re-mastered digital messing about. For the album, the band hired Culture Club producer Steve Levine, who took them into the world of drum machines, synthesizers, sampling, and hi-tech recording technology. Originally released in 2003 with 30 tracks, UMe is updating and reissuing the classic Sounds Of Summer compilation.
