Casual gentlemen fragrance, can be used anytime, not overpowering or offensive but strong enough to get a compliment. I really recommend this for anyone who is looking for a versatile fragrance that's not necessarily a "blue" fragrance. To me it mostly smells like walking through a meadow on a bright, breezy early summer's morning, before the dew has fully lifted, perhaps when there's been rain and the earth is moist, just far enough downwind of that candy factory in town for it to be impossible to tell whether that obvious violet smell is an artificial one from there. Forms an intimate scent bubble if sprayed on clothes but it doesnt stick to it till the next day, unless you spray multiple times on a single spot and go for a scent hunt sticking you nose to it.

IMHO it was very clever of Bentley to market a floral fragrance with the "Black" moniker and theme, especially compared to the on the nose Tom Ford Rose Prick in its pink colored bottle which will likely turn off men who may already adverse to "girly" floral fragrances. Its opaque finish enhances the polished silver metal shoulders of the bottle, embossed with the celebrated Winged-B. And I should have paid more attention to the reviews and especially the “reminds me of” section above, where I’d have seen Versace, Paco Rabane, Drakkar Noir etc. Presentation is great, the bottle is good to hold and the cap and overall feel is sturdy; although the sprayer is tiny compared to the body so its a little weird to look at.I'm sure sure lots of you will be curious about this as Bentley release good value fragrances and this one looks interesting. In 2018 Bentley released "Bentley For Men Black Edition", which is an amber spicy fragrance for men.
