About this deal

I have a 2009 Jetta TDI and the check engine light cane on and then a few days later the glow plug light started flashing. Box has worked fine with a few network related issues here and there, but I have always been able to figure out the issues and get it working. I was on the motorway so I carried on to my destination and after stopping when I came back the warning message and light was gone.

I noticed yesterday that the remote controls have flashing red lights on them when I put them in the drawer.

But that code usually mean dash is bad and can not be fixed, either flash or hardware is damage or corrupted. This is my second winter on the tune and have had no issues other than this GPL flashing which I noticed today. FYI, I have experienced a similar situation in the past, except then the middle light was flashing yellow. Without any code thrown it is tougher to diagnose, as that light can be used for several different faults.

It is plainly obvious that in the rush to meet environmental regulations VW have not tested the EGR unit adequately in realistic conditions before releasing it. Anyway sometimes when shifting back to park the PRNDS lights flash seems like this is an issues that occurs for some). When replacing it be sure the jug is to the full mark prior to replacing the sender, it is a 27 or 28mm socket that you can use to remove, Lubricate the o-ring.It would make sense to get a fault code read done and if it is an over-boost situation, have the turbo rebuilt before it goes pop. The sender sits in a plastic cup, and on older style Expansion jugs, they didn't have a "Air Bleed" hole at the top so your sender can be sitting in a air pocket and not in the fluid. Unfortunately, some of the controllers of this vintage I have tested will give a false alarm with a perfectly good set of plugs. After these were cleared, fault 02413 - Switch for selector Lever Position P Lock (F319) 008 - implausible signal - intermittent came up. The car drives fine but when i turn off the engine and close the doors after a few mins the hazards continue to flash and will only go out when i start the engine.

After killing the engine if I push the start button once without actually starting the motor, the glow plug light initially illuminates then extinguishes. The bit around the gear stick with the leather on and the plastic bit with the gears on that lights up. Think I'll be getting only another couple of years out of the car before I trade it in for something else. I couldn't get the paperclip reset to work then either until I went out of range of my home wifi network. Hi, there's no real way forward unfortunately without a diagnostic read out as it could be numerous things.

Most garages now say EGR valve failures are a known issue (mostly showing up in Mk6 TDIs 3 to 4 years / 40k-60k mileage range).Flashing is usually level if it does it from the off, the sensor gets gunked up in the bottle you can clean it or the wiring to the sensor is dodgy. I thought I had problems a while ago with my mechatronics unit but turned out to be just a lose connection on my MAF sensor to my induction kit but all sorted now. As far as confirmation on the voltage necessary to start, I only have my personal experience to go off of.
