They were originally going to show on a regular channel YUX and winner would earn 100,000 dollars as a prize but then they cancelled it on YUX and they put on a major television network BNC and they changed the prize to 1,000,000 dollars and their own tv show. I loved this book because I feel like the series is getting better because Jamie wins The Funniest Kid in the world award.
Him and his friends become less trustworthy or Jamies friends don't like Jamie later on because of his ego being inflated by the comedy contest. He goes through various difficulties of being in middle school including being bullied, navigating friendships and liking girls. His friends are upset he isn’t around as much anymore and his family worry the fame is going to his head.
