About this deal

for better 4K gaming, then ivoler is releasing a pro version soon with these features, so it may be worth hanging on. You pop your Steam Deck in place, plug it in, and then either leave it to charge or play away on an external monitor. In her spare time, Sam likes to live like Stardew Valley by cooking and baking, growing vegetables, and enjoying life in the countryside.

In use, the iVoler dock worked pretty much straight away - the only problem I encountered was inserting mouse and keyboard plugs into the USB ports, which appear to be a little tighter than average. So much so that I’m a little worried that Valve is just way too late to the party on their own official Steam Deck Dock. Docking Station for Steam Deck, ivoler 6-in-1 Aluminum Steam Deck Dock Pro Stand, USB-C Hub with HDMI 2. Having such an integral part being non-replaceable just seems like a waste when it could’ve been a smaller USB C to USB C. So to try something vaguely similar when it comes to graphical performance, which to me required much less graphical power to run, I jumped into a game of Cuphead on the SteamOS and found it locked to 60FPS.

Any other items you may need, such as an HDMI lead, you’ll have to find yourself – although you can use the Steam Deck’s AC adapter to power the dock. The three USB ports allow you to connect other peripherals such as a mouse, keyboard and external storage. Video game accessories company iVoler today announced a Pro version of its Steam Deck docking station.

iVoler’s dock is also a budget-friendly 6-in-1 docking station option that combines a USB hub and kickstand together.International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. Oh, and one bit i don't understand in the review: how is the non detachable usb-cable a minus if valve's dock and jsaux have the exact same thing? The 3 USB plug at the back is enough for accommodating multiple devices for file transfer with the Deck. Then, I can take the Deck with me when I travel, knowing everything is sorted - and I could even bring the dock if I wanted to play on the big screen in my hotel room, for instance.

The resolution on my monitor is 4k 60Hertz 3840x2160 and the ivoler puts the steam deck at that resolution. If you're happy to delve into menus to optimise your Deck setup, this is a fantastic little dock that is affordable, easy-to-use, and surprisingly stylish. Other than that the only issue I have is that since the power is always on, there's always a signal on the hdmi cable. Making the dock a stand as well is a brilliant touch from other USB-C hubs that are available on the market for the likes of MacBooks and other tech.Furthermore, the docking solution is not the only peripheral iVoler has designed for Valve's handheld. Sometimes it works if I shutdown the Deck and disconnect the dock and plug it again and even then I have to wait some seconds before it shows image on TV. The dock offers 4K gaming at 30Hz and, as a test, Horizon Zero Dawn certainly looked and played well on a Panasonic 50in 4K TV. If you want top-spec graphics with high refresh rates, you’re just going to have to go the gaming PC route. You need faster refresh rate: If you're planning on playing 120Hz supported games like Overwatch 2, you'll benefit more from this speedy screen.
