About this deal

One of the most important things to me was the idea of not stopping bad feelings but letting them flow through you while trying to identify what they are and where they came from. Seul défaut j’aurais aimé que l’autrice développe un peu plus les idées présentes dans ce livre je file m’abonner à son compte Instagram. I liked the way it dived in situations where not being stressed is not an option and how to tackle this areas of life. Now more than ever, people are struggling with their mental health and Dr Julie Smith delivers in a big way in Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?

For the next 10 years of her journalism career, Smith worked as a court and general assignment reporter. Each chapter has a theme and she includes ideas which are identified with a light bulb graphic and tools which are identified with a wrench graphic. An essential mental-health bible for adults and teenagers’ YOU Magazine’If you want to feel like you have a therapist sitting across from you, empowering you with how to be your best self, this book is for you!The wisdom and practicality found within these pages have the potential to genuinely transform lives. The author says: “If we deal with emotions in a healthy way, we not only build resilience but we can thrive and, over time, find a sense of growth”. Increase self-awareness of each stage of the cycle in thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviour. All are things we all know (or at least have heard) but it’s good to see why they work and how they work.

The tools fitted nicely to the themes, and I’m sure everyone will find tips that they can use to improve their well-being.

It is always more or less the same with self help books but this one is just not worth the hassle of listening. Some of the chapters were very short, they felt like a summary of something larger and yet they had the bullet points summary at the end because that’s just the way the book is formatted.
