Mothership is a compilation album [8] by English rock band Led Zeppelin, released by Atlantic Records and Rhino Entertainment on 12 November 2007 in the United Kingdom, and 13 November 2007 in the United States. The lows and highs are more balanced, and also noticed the left to right is balanced better than the originals. The two-CD edition shares most tracks with the original two-CD compilation Led Zeppelin Remasters, but with " When the Levee Breaks" and " Over the Hills and Far Away" instead of " Celebration Day" and " The Battle of Evermore. I've got to go back to my vinyl now and do a serious comparison to see if my first impressions have any connection with reality. Surprisingly bubble wrap is used which looks a little cheap, a custom dampening material would have felt more exclusive if it had matched the slick aesthetic.

Its more like CD which would be quite accurate considering this is pressed from the same digital source of the tapes that the 2014 remasters used. The DVD that comes with Mothership is just excerpts from the double DVD "Led Zeppelin", which some of us may already have. The legendary group's comprehensive Vinyl collection featuring 24 epic songs chosen, sequenced and remastered in 2008 under the band's direct supervision! No need or point in going through a track-by-track rundown, except to say that most of the usual suspects are here, including one or two which most of us would happily have sacrificed for lesser known but perhaps better tracks from their relatively few albums.Of course some of those old recordings are a little rough around the edges and there's no magic cure for all those "faults" such as distortion (whether it's there by design or by accident). Every record is shipped in original factory-applied shrink wrap and has never been touched by human hands.
