About this deal

In 2009 La Plante was inducted into the Crime Thriller Awards Hall of Fame and most recently, in 2013, La Plante was awarded an Honorary Fellowship with the Forensic Science Society (FSSoc), the first non-scientist to be inducted into the professional body; receiving the award for the accuracy with which she portrays forensic science in her work. I’m very lucky to be a member of the blogger’s group the Squad Pod Collective, they’re a great group of ladies and we all support each other so much. Due to the subject matter of this book it was not as fast paced as previous books as I don’t think investigations into bombing suspects and sleeper agents would ever be rushed and to depict that way would have not really made it feel believable. Set around the time of the IRA bombing campain in London Good Friday puts Jane in the middle of possibly her most dangerous investigations albeit from the sidelines. From the goldmines of South Africa to the boardrooms of the City of London, from the risks of the casinos to the heady glamour of the London fashion world, the author continues the saga of a family's fortunes.

The inhabitant of the strange metal coffin is dressed modestly, and her hands are entwined with both a crucifix and a rosary.

This topped with so much new insight into Jacks family and his 'gift' from Adam gives so many new and exciting avenues that could be explored.

an eccentric widow claims she is being stalked by her former lodger, Detective Jack Warr is the only person who believes her wild claims. The former special forces officer is heading to Europe, to go face to face with some of Putin's most killer henchmen! As prolific as ever, Lynda La Plante is delivering one of these novels per year and I’ve found it fascinating to watch the character we’re used to watching as a Detective Inspector, starting out in uniform and learning the ropes. It is interesting to watch investigations being dealt with “old school” without the aid of mobile phones and the internet but for me it gave me the chance to watch the characters develop and see how their skills and styles could compliment and hinder the investigations in equal measure. And as the hunt for the widow's lodger hits dead end after dead end, it seems that the prime suspect has vanished without a trace. I have lived in China for the past 2O years,so getting English novels is not easy, although found odd ones on the internet here. The heiress of an immense family fortune, she now resides in a luxurious care home; her mind and memory fading fast.

I have on my audio books 174 titles, and I wish I could say they were all hers, but sadly not all available. The old boys network was working overtime, to wrong foot her and get her removed, especially if she had been made their superior. A FULLY REVISED AND EDITED EDITION OF THE CLASSIC INSPIRED BY THE HIT, LONG-RUNNING TV SERIES STARRING DAVID HAYMANIt is every mother's nightmare. A secret, that not only threatens to bring down a family dynasty, but also places Jane Tennison in mortal danger .

The great thing about these prequel novels is that we go back even further, to when a policewoman’s uniform included a matching handbag – useful for filling with stones and hitting criminals I guess. Her debut novel, The Legacy, was published in 1987 and received both critical and best-seller success.

On her way into work she is caught up in a horrific bombing at Covent Gardenunderground station and soon finds herself in the middle of that investigation as she is one of the only witnesses to the potential suspect. I have read mostly all of your books Jane Tennison, widows, Royal flush, unholy murder, cold blood, buried, pure evil I can go on with my list. DC Jack Warr is clearly destined for higher things, and I look forward to following his progress' - PETER ROBINSON, No.She must decide if she will risk her life to bring the killer to justice simply to claim the reward, or if she should leave the task to someone more experience, more willing, and more trusting than she will ever be able to trust herself after her difficult and harrowing past. The grounds where the developer is digging foundations used to belong to a convent that burned down a couple of decades earlier. She was constantly apologising for not working regular hours, for not being available for family events and not being the little woman at home. The great thing about having friends who are bloggers is that occasionally they have spare proofs lying around and are very generous in sharing them. Sir William Benedict is left with no choice but to exact revenge on those who have sabotaged his dreams…and Justin Chalmers and his sister Laura are about to discover just how dark revenge can be when exacted by a man who has nothing left.
