This set was one of three 2023 LEGO Ninjago sets by new designer Chi Wing Lee, aka Cityson; a former New E stablemate contributor.
The head mold first appeared in the 2019 Pyro Whipper and Char figures, but is has new coloration here. The mix of blue tones is skillfully incorporated throughout the build, and the necessary dark grey elements needed for the articulation fade easily into the background.

The articulation on the dragon’s jaw works well, and has plenty of strength to handle some imaginative play.Will usually dispatch within same working day if paid before 14:00 GMT (excludes weekends and holidays). The first set was 71713 Empire Dragon with Unagami and the second was 71742 Overlord Dragon with the Overlord. I’m not fond of the gap between the cockpit window and the ship’s hull, but for a swooshable vehicle at this scale, it’s a forgivable trade-off. It has a saddle for Nya to sit in, and it can be upgraded with golden elements to make it even bigger and stronger.
