About this deal

Well, besides totally recommending that you devour this book, is that don't even read the description - just check the tropes. I know from the text that she’s good at soccer and fairly good at shutting out Thomas’ negging but that’s about it. When reading I had the deep seated urge to devour the entire story, yet I was having anxiety over finishing it because I didn't want it to end. It’s kept a secret for some part of the book and it’s part of why Thomas is intrigued with her…that and she’s really good at soccer. Chase and Bailey absolutely stole my heart, from the moment they met on Bailey’s first night of freedom, after her serious red flag waving ex dumped her on her birthday, their connection was instant. Full of drama, this is a fast moving crime thriller of football, corruption and clever detective work. The competition and the tension heightens as Paul Stewart continues the action in the second of this four-part football series. Sociologists with more general interests in culture and institutional analysis might also find it useful and informative as a case study. His collaboration with Chris Riddell on The Edge Chronicles has taken him to bestseller lists in both the UK and USA. Some of my favorite scenes in the book weren’t between Thomas and Nicole but Thomas and Nicole’s father who shares pizza with Thomas, intuits that there’s something wrong with Thomas’ homelife, and offers an escape for Thomas at the Skye household. The heroine having a hard time having an O was definitely unique and I loved how the hero handled it. They get together early, so early that I was truly concerned with where she would go with this because it was a big book. I do think there were some plot points that were dropped/could have been more thoroughly threaded and explored, and the pace definitely lulled in the middle as we had a lot of content without a clear conflict direction, but I loved them both so much together that I'd read even more of them just being all coupley.

It is our intent and purpose to foster and encourage in-depth discussion about all things related to books, authors, genres, or publishing in a safe, supportive environment. Has to be one of my top 3 hockey romances, the right mix of plot, tension, spice and general life so it reads (listens? After being dumped on her 21st birthday, Bailey James rebounds right into the arms of her ex’s biggest competition. It was nice to watch them start a very unexpected friendship, and the more they spent together, the more chemistry they had and the more they fell in love with each other. Please note: This listing is for the published, revised version of Offside only as there will be some substantial edits and changes.

I'm obsessed because from page one, Avery's writing completely transfixed me, I was so hook-line-and-sinker in the story and characters and their world. She never tried to get a job, she just kept drinking her vanilla latte and let chase pay for everything while using a victim coat every chance she could get. As if I’d accidentally summoned him, Derek emerged from the locker rooms and made a beeline for Jill and me. Caught in the midst of a bitter rivalry that extends far beyond the arena, Chase and Bailey are on opposite sides of the bench. I picked up Enforcer by Avery Keelan and really enjoyed the writing style and characters, so I decided to pick up Offside as well.

There were so many random scenes that added absolutely nothing to the plot that went on for PAGES UPON PAGES. It’s an over the top story with a lot of over the top occurrences but it’s larger than life storyline has stuck with me. After a chance encounter at a nightclub, the two of them form an unlikely friendship that develops into something more.they became friends first and once they started to develop deeper feelings, they both just went for it.
