About this deal

You can install this parking heater 12V diesel anywhere in your vehicle and easily operate it via remote control or the LCD panel.

The thickness of the flooring (wood) and then the metal floor of the van must take up quite a bit of depth of the inlets/outlet spouts on the bottom of the heater. To see a full teardown of the autoterm diesel heater to see how it compares to the cheaper Chinese heaters, Alex Frood has made a detailed video covering this which you can watch here. On the lowest setting it's just enough to air things through and perhaps dry things out without damaging them. My thinking was, if I am fitting it myself and am happy to try and resolve any issues - I would just go cheap. The bus heater is commonly applied for cab heating of various diesel vehicles, such as cars, RVs, buses, vans, trucks, boats, etc. When it comes to 2KW HEATERS there are not that many choices on the market to be honest with you and the ones that are out there are pretty much always the same and come with the same three button control panel. Stay warm in the miserable winter storms with Maxpeedingrods Air Diesel Heaters, only need a 12V power supply working in extreme temperatures. Having the diesel heater running from your main tank gives you a much long run time before needing to seek a refill.

Compatible with Motorhomes, Campervans, Caravans (also known as Travel Trailers and Camper Trailers), Popup Campers, and Campers, Small Truck, Big Truck, Light Truck, Heavy Truck, Van, Bus, Car, Boat. One thing I would always recommend around any fuel burning appliances is a carbon monoxide alarm just to be on the safe side.We post lots of helpful content to both and are always around to answer any questions you might have about van builds, van life, diesel heater etc. Heater Power 2KW Fuel Gasoline Diesel Rated Voltage 12V Car Air Conditioning Type Heating Switch LCD Remote Control Distance 98 ft/30 m Adjustable Temp. The heater comes with a 3 year warranty and the Comfort Controller with a build in thermostat and 7 day timer. That being said if you have a very well insulated LWB van with a 5KW it will get hot quickly too and if you have a uninsulated WMB van with lots of windows a 2KW might struggle to keep your van warm or take ages to get to a decent temp. It also pulls around 10 Amps for a couple of minutes during it's "cool down cycle" when you turn it off.

I was looking at a 5kw but actually our heater is only 2kw as it is and more often than not is only on 1kw. Our concern is for users that may not be experienced with the installation and maintenance of this product type. For initial bench testing I placed the heater on my Black and Decker workmate with the air inlet and exhaust facing down between the two open jaws. This is a great product for those who need to additionally heat small truck cabins, commercial vehicle cabins and cargo compartments, small campers, off-highway vehicles or boats of up to 33 ft/10 m. It wasn't until I started testing it I suddenly thought about having that fan/tick right next to my head whilst trying to sleep and got a bit concerned.

Here is a diesel heater sound comparison between a Chinese Eberspacher/Planar copy at minimum power, a Planar diesel heater running at medium power and a new Eberspacher D2 running at minimum power.

So what you will find when looking for a 2KW heater is that there are a lot of heaters advertised as 2KW but as you probe a little bit deeper you will find that they are actually 2KW-5KW. That and the fact that it's got a 15A fuse has got me wondering if this is going to flatten my leisure battery if I use it for any length of time when I have no mains hookup (which is the main situation when I'll need it.turn on my heater a 4am on Thursday for 1 hour or turn heater on when temperature falls below 16C, and turn off when it reaches 22C). We suggest you may wish to upgrade from 2kW to 4kW heater kit if the campervan is a hightop long wheel base or large campervan. This could be put though a little panel on the back of the seat base to hide the heater away (please note this panel is not included in the kit but then vent to do so is included). If you want to fit your diesel heater outside your van then you can purchase the external fitting kit here.
