Our recommended overdrive setting is 'Level 3' as it provides the best performance without causing too much overshoot like the 'Level 4' and 'Level 5' options. We retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose that we collected it for, including the satisfaction of any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. The back of the screen is encased in a matte black plastic and there are some textured and patterned sections on the right as you can see. It is sometimes necessary for us to transfer your personal data to countries other than the UK, and these countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of the UK. out of the box the Asus has excellent color reproduction, but with some tuning I was able to match the color on the Acer.

ROG Strix XG27UQ offers an ultrafast 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (MPRT), ensuring that even the fastest-paced games played at the highest visual settings remain buttery-smooth and completely lag-free. In the Image menu are luminance controls, two HDR modes, which appear when HDR signals are present, and Dynamic Dimming. There is a glowing logo on the back that you can customize (Static Cyan is my recommendation), but it isn’t bright enough to be used as bias lighting, which would’ve been nice. The back is also made of sturdy plastic, and the adjustment hinges are of good quality, although the plastic covering them feels a bit flimsy.

It has a low input lag, fast response time, and a 144Hz refresh rate, resulting in smooth and responsive gameplay. In the event we cannot or choose not to continue to rely on either of those mechanisms at any time we will not transfer your personal data outside the UK unless we can do so on the basis of an alternative mechanism or exception provided by UK data protection law and reflected in an update to this policy. ELMB is also available as an alternative to Adaptive-Sync, but it did nothing to improve motion resolution. I got this monitor to replace a PG278Q, which was starting to develop odd white stains, and never had good color reproduction in the first place (TN film drawbacks, very low gamma resulting in excessively bright shadows, under-saturated shadows, etc. The color temperature is very close to our 6500k, and gamma follows the sRGB curve well, although dark and bright scenes are slightly over-brightened.

Disclosures and other activities necessary to comply with legal and regulatory obligations that apply to our business, e.

In HDR mode, it’s locked on and makes that content look quite good with a measured contrast ratio of over 8,200:1. Also the difference between the 1ms response rate compared to Acers 4ms response rate wasnt noticeable to me. There was a decent 427 cd/m 2 adjustment range in total, so at the minimum setting you could reach down to a luminance of 64 cd/m 2.CIE Diagram – confirms the colour space covered by the monitors backlighting in a 2D view, with the black triangle representing the displays gamut, and other reference colour spaces shown for comparison. The Asus ROG Strix XG27UQ is one of the best gaming monitors we’ve tested, but you’ll need to pair it with a very capable PC to see its full capability.
