About this deal

I am obsessed with this duet- and I’m thirsty for more from some of the other characters who have a very big presence in Nao and Sebastian’s journey. After being relieved by the Gray Death Legion, they departed for their new post in the Draconis Combine: Wolcott. I loved the dark parts, but I also love how it ended and makes me feel warm and fuzzy (which is NOT often how a dark romance leaves me! You may also agree that Kent affords more leeway in what Nao and Sebastian experience as a couple because of how deliciously depraved she allow them to be in Red Thorns. Rina leans even deeper into the titillating dynamics - we have two characters who have a toxic component to their relationship, something “wrong”- and they lean into it, embrace it.

Rina spends her private days in a peaceful town in North Africa daydreaming about the next plot idea or laughing like an evil mastermind when those ideas come together. If you think that is diferent than the first book, don't get your hopes up, Naomi and Sebastian may be older but they are just annoying and immature as they were. The Black Thorns are renowned for their maneuverability, able to cross the entire Empire through a combination of using the trods and incomparable logistical know-how. He hates her for leaving him and disappearing for 7 years, and she can't tell him why to protect him.Si no supiera de la existencia del libro de Nate ya lo estuviera pidiendo a gritos porque es un personaje interesante, peeeeero no lo pienso leer porque no me gustó con quien lo emparejaron. The Story: Though Naomi’s mother is CEO of a fashion empire and couture house, Sebastian’s grandparents are so snooty and elitist that they refer to her as the daughter of a seamstress. Surprisingly, opposition to the Black Thorns came not from Clan Jade Falcon, but from the planetary government. but there’s also a wide web of twists, revelations, shocks and much more along the way too (no spoilers).

This book takes place seven years later when Sebastian re-encounters Naomi and decides to insert himself in her life and husband's due her ill-fated departure. They were sent to Jezersko to wage a guerrilla campaign against the Twenty-Ninth Provisional Garrison Cluster. I just wanted these two to find their HEA after all the pain and drama and difficult mountains they would have to climb. At the start of the Jihad the Black Thorns had been just been hired for garrison duty on Galedon V by the Draconis Combine.Sebastian continued to be a favorite character; I loved his emotional evolution, his choices, his alpha. this was mainly the reason why i didn't rate this book higher because i didn't enjoy reading about an affair. Their reality broke them apart and after a long time, they are about to cross paths for once again, but they couldn't be more far away from each other. I loved Sebastian's character and the re-introduction of favorites of past books including Ashe and Knox.
