About this deal

But they get pretty stale if you read the whole novel at once (this is a common problem with comic novels).

This book will scare you so much you will forget where you left your car keys and have to walk to the nearest phone booth. Please Note: By their very nature, all signed books will have been handled several times before they get to you. About the Author: Garth Marenghi was born in the past, graduated from his local comprehensive (now bulldozed) with some O levels in subjects. It was so excellently written in Garth's classic style and Matthew Holness' brilliance shines through - I mean, whoever he is.

I think if you treated this as a collection of short stories and had about a two week gap between segments, it would be a good time. Really though, Incarcerat was as funny and absurd as expected, the only issue is that a parody of this type of writing can occasionally become a bit tiresome as it indulges in the vices it parodies.I can say this much on this blurb (and no more) - not before Nick Steen has faced the ultimate monster. I didn't think anything could top previous offerings from his oeuvre such as Guygon vs Galgon and Randyman IV: Nightstench but Incarcerat is even more radical, risky and dangerous than them combined. Much of the humour here comes from how overwritten it is rather than actual joke or parody, which eventually loses it's humour once you're past the halfway mark. Garth Marenghi was born in the past, graduated from his local comprehensive (now bulldozed) with some O levels in subjects.

Just endless repetition and exposition, even as they add to the laughs, eventually become exposed and repetitive. There, he is tested and interfered with by a team of scientific experts determined to nullify his escaping imagination. Unlike the first, I have yet to have time to listen to the audiobook for this instalment, but I hope so when I reread it in the future.

I can say this much on this blurb (and no more) – not before Nick Steen has faced the ultimate monster. I would say, “spoilers ahead,” but no mere summation can truly encapsulate the dark majesty of Garth Marenghi’s prose.
