Yes, for those that missed it, last year’s StingRay wedge was a non-conforming wedge that had massive grooves, allowing even the most spin-deprived players to experience that hop and stop shot. I was thrilled to get the PM letting me know that I was one of the winners that was selected to test the Indi StingRay wedge. Closing down the face and trapping it is something I need to work on with this club to resolve touch issues, this shot straight up froze for me and i think it will be awesome to have in my back pocket.

The Indi guys feel that the “scoop” moves some of the weight to the perimeter, which makes it easier to hit. Throughout my personal history, I have had a love-hate relationship with darker finished wedges, and I’m sure you can all guess why. As far as quality/durability, I think this wedge is very close to other wedges I have played in the past (Glide, Cleveland RTX, Vokey SM). I feel the Stingray TT’s unique geometry allows you to hit any of your preferred shots on the course. As an enthusiast for all things golf course history and architecture, it gives him a great excuse to travel the world with his wife and share his experiences along the way.

Indi Golf has also added a new matte black finish as well as an additional loft option that comes in at 62°. When your wedge is more forgiving, you get plenty of distance even if the ball is not struck direclty in the center.

I initially saw these wedges on the Golfholics YouTube channel when Mike and Marko played some shots with them during their round. Bounce: The 58-degree wedge comes with 12 degrees of bounce and a C-Grind sole allowing for maximum forgiveness and versatility. For example 15-6 means I left a 15 foot shot 6 feet short, whereas 15+6 means I hit a 15 foot shot 6 feet past the hole.Posting unboxing pics now and I’ll update with a more in-depth review after my first full round with it tomorrow.
