About this deal

Okay this one is just so interesting because its so simple and easy but its also so unique and different.

One thing that made late Karl Lagerfeld a different fashion designer from the rest of the crowd is a well-known fact about his personal involvement in creating designs for his perfume bottles. It's good to still have some of those old school perfumes around these days but how can they make such horrible reformulations? Some say it is a bit dated and while I would agree, I believe it is still very wearable but probably more suited to an older man. In the background of this wooden accord, rather than in the foreground, the modest, slightly aromatic, and green notes of the foliage and ears are heard.

Smelling this on me feels like a different era, it’s nothing like todays weak mainstream fragrances. Even with that, this is really great bang for the buck, and less dated than other offerings of the time. The oriental and woody fragrance is still a popular choice among elegant and fashion-conscious wearers.

The original 1978 bottles with frosted sides was and is an incedible scent, light and heavy at the same time, it just works so well. Initial spray greets me with citrus and green notes, which quickly turns to a powdery, oriental vibe. As time goes by, it does get a bit closer to the old scent, although never being quite similar - actually, keeping very distinct. It's a boozy/spicy/soapy combo frag, and in 2020 im actually still in love with this scent even without the nostalgia taking into consideration.

Under 30's beware, there's not much here for you (but being honest is there even a single fragrance from the 70's or very early 80's that fits the under 30's bill? And that's saying a lot because my skin burns fragrance like an old Lincoln with the a/c running burned gas. Trying to add some more masculinity to it, they seem to have based the changes on a mans image totally outdated, from a time when smoking was considered stylish and manly.Top notes are Bay Leaf, Hazelnut and Lavender; middle notes are Oak and Cedar; base notes are Sandalwood, Vanilla and Moss. This combination makes it funky, musty, harsh, and overpowering in the top notes and soft, woodsy, warm, semi-sweet, and powdery in the drydown.
