About this deal

Your Nikon camera may come with wi-fi built-in, or you could create wi-fi via Nikon's WU-1a or WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter and your smartphone or tablet. Once it's in place, attach the appropriate cable to connect the WR-1 to the camera (either the 10-pin connector cable or the accessory terminal cable, depending on which camera you are using – check the camera manual for details). The pairing complete message will be in the display and the LED will flash red and green alternately to let you know the units are paired. NB The letters A, B, C, D or E after the WT number indicates the number of channels available to the photographer, which varies across the world due to different regulations governing the use of wireless frequencies. The ML-L3 Remote supports the “bulb” exposure camera setting making it a great accessory for shooting long exposures, great for seascapes and night time photography.

The Wireless Remote Controller kit includes the WR-R10 transceiver (controller) which is attached to the DSLR and receives signals from the WR-T10 transmitter. It is ideal for shooting self-portraits and macro shots and can help prevent camera shake during shutter release. Remote mirror-up Press ML-L3 shutter-release button once to raise mirror, again to release shutter and take photograph. The button on the WR-R10 controller acts just like the shutter release on your Nikon camera; press it halfway for autofocus and all the way to take the picture. NB The image transfer method creates a folder on your computer inside your pictures folder – don't rename it.Because these systems use radio frequencies instead of infrared, you aren't limited to line-of-sight operation. The Fujifilm XF 23mm F2 R WR delivers a 35mm full-frame equivalent field of view and stands out due to its small size and weather-resistant build. In delayed remote mode, the self-timer lamp will light for two seconds, followed by the red-eye reduction lamp which lights for one second before the shutter is released. The Sony a9 III is the world's first full-frame mirrorless camera to feature a global electronic shutter with simultaneous readout.

In auto trigger (A-Trig) mode it can also fire the camera remotely when a subject moves between the transmitter and receiver – making it ideal for wildlife set-ups. The D780 doesn't have the 'Remote Control Mode (ML-L3)' option; it has a 'Setup Menu > Wireless remote (WR) options', which is grayed out. This type of connection allows you to upload existing photos and movies to a computer set up as a FTP server. On your smartphone or tablet, open the wi-fi settings and select the Nikon camera's network from the list of networks available. Alternatively, to send images from the camera to a computer or FTP server, you can use the Nikon WT-4, WT-5, WT-6 or WT-7 wireless transmitters, depending on camera compatibility – the new D5, for example, uses the WT-5 and WT-6 models, while the D500 uses the WT-7.CameraWorld is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, registration number 689327. A green box will surround the network profile name indicating a good network connection (it will be red if there is a problem connecting).
