About this deal

ADVANTAGE® has been shown to kill adult and larval fleas within 20 minutes of contact by absorption via the flea intersegmental membranes. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) in the cat and the dog, where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon. Aside from causing irritation, fleas can lead to Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) and even anaemia in serious cases. I have used two lots on my cat and am combing him two or three times a day and he still has fleas and treated the house 3 times, but I am still finding fleas everyday!

Works a treat as Frontline combo had stopped working and even the local vet had said that frontlone was not working so well lately. One application of Advantage remains effective for up to 4 weeks in pets and up to one week in rabbits. The solvent in Advantage may mark certain materials including leather, fabrics, plastics and finished surfaces. Can we use advantage straight away or do I have to wait an amount of time before dosing them because of the frontline? Advantage 80 Advantage spot-on solution can be used for both the treatment and prevention of flea infestations on cats, and the treatment of fleas on rabbits. PDSA will never exchange or sell your information to another organisation for their own marketing purposes. Wish they would just invent one flea spot on treatment that would actually work and stay working for as long as Frontline did.

It's essential to prevent fleas from taking hold in the first place, and that's where Advantage comes to the rescue. The product is bitter tasting and salivation may occasionally occur if the dog licks the application site immediately after treatment and should disappear within some minutes. So after lots of repeat treatments , meaning my wallet was getting seriously emptied, I decided to take the plunge and try something else. For the prevention and treatment of flea infestations on cats and dogs, and for the treatment of biting lice (Trichodectes canis) on dogs. Use Advantage 40 for small cats, rabbits and small dogs weighing up to 4Kg, use Advantage 80 for larger cats and rabbits weighing up to 8Kg.If you’ve recently bathed your pet, it’s recommended you wait at least two days before treating them with Advantage flea drops.

The product remains effective if the animal becomes wet, such as after heavy rain or swimming (for dogs). In the case of biting louse infestation in dogs, a veterinary examination 30 days after treatment is recommended as some animals may require a second treatment.Do not use in animals that are known to be hypersensitive to the active substance or any of the excipients.

I have previously used frontline plus about a week and a half ago, but it’s not working and the cats have fleas on them. Advantage large cats is indicated for the prevention and control treatment of flea infestations and can be used on kittens aged 8 weeks and older weighing over 4kg.Parasites can get into your home without being invited, which means indoor cats aren’t immune from catching fleas. Advantage Flea Treatment is supplied as one pack each containing 4 single use pipettes Instructions for using Advantage Flea Treatment for dogs, cats and rabbits are included in all product packs. Like others on here, I have used Advantage flea treatments for years, only now I find it pretty ineffective. Worse: only 5% of fleas live on your pet, the other 95% lurk in your carpets, bedding, clothes and sofas. I am aware that some products cannot be used during pet pregnancy or pet lactation and will check before administration.
