The Apollo Ultrasonic is suitable for almost any tank up to 3 metres tall, irrespective of manufacturer, capacity or material of construction. Once fitted the Apollo Standard Ultrasonic Tank Gauge will give a constant fuel level displayed in easy to read graduations of useable fuel on a conveniently located LCD display, the Apollo Visual also gives a level readout at the tank mounted transmitter.

On installation, the float switch/sensor must be located between the inner tank and the internal wall of the bund. The Apollo Visual version also provides local-level reading and a visual indication of the tank nearing maximum capacity. In cases where full readings persist, remove the transmitter from the tank and go through a re-matching procedure, and test before refitting to the tank. By checking for, and removing any unwanted water, the Tank Dryer reduces the damaging impact that this contamination has on machinery and vehicles.

What if the oil in the tank is full to the very top, will this harm the Apollo transmitter and will I receive a correct reading? Apollos’ have an independent transmitter and receiver, and can be setup in minutes to the tank height and after matching, will only read its own tank. The Apollo Bund consists of the transmitter, which must be positioned on the top of the inner or primary tank and is fitted as a normal Apollo. If the tank is filled to the top as described then the oil/liquid will be too close to the underside of the transmitter and will result in intermittent incorrect readings or flashing triangle until the oil/liquid level drops to 100 – 120 mm from the top of the tank.
