The colours are not vibrant like the Inktense ones but each colour has a graphite undertone hence the 'Graphitint' title. Graphitint has the same properties as our 4B Watersoluble Sketching pencil so it will appeal to artists looking to add a colourful dimension to their graphite drawings but retain all the familiar qualities of their favourite graphite pencil.

This set comes in small, durable plastic case - ideally sized for travel - and includes a mini waterbrush, a sponge and five mixing palettes. Personally, I prefer this method for detail as the pencil "leads" are a bit soft to take a very fine point but a fine brush can do it. Then with a wet paintbrush, I continued the same stippling movement so as not to blend or drag the detail.The leads are darker dry than when they are wet and creating a home made colour chart showing both dry and wet colour tones is a huge help. The paper is heavyweight and water resistant meaning the pencil grabs the paper and does not buckle when water is applied.
