I enjoy the opening, the exhilarating green jasmine is what I focus on, and I willingly swoon under the emphatic wave of gardenia. Organza is a decadent, luxurious, spicy masterpiece that exudes mystery and elegance without sacrificing sex appeal. I didn't press her for the exact name, which could have helped me track it down, because she didn't seem too enthusiastic about telling me. Side by side Organza is giving me the everything in moderation option, while Boudoir would be the exuberant over indulgent Queen! It is not to my taste a fragrance for mature women rather an easy to like, almost gourmand perfume for fun-loving, young at heart people. I highly recommend Organza by Givenchy to those of you who love fragrances that project and leave a trail as you go about.

I don't know if it is my chemistry or what, but once this sumptuous frag hit my skin, it was like magic. I got this as a gift as a pre-teen and it was one of my first experiences with real, fancy perfume as opposed to body sprays.

Top notes are Nutmeg, Gardenia, African Orange Flower, Bergamot and Green Notes; middle notes are Tuberose, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Iris, Peony and Mace; base notes are Vanilla, Amber, Woodsy Notes, Guaiac Wood and Virginia Cedar. You can wear it in any setting and place; but I do think it performs best in colder weather, since it IS a strong fragrance, it might become suffocating in the heat. And I don’t remember her wearing it but I assume she did wear it because it was in her perfume cabinet. I said no but now it is on my to get list, because of its unique white floral bouquet in a woody base, and feeding on vanilla water.Organza shared this quality with another fragrance I wore that came out around the same time - Tocade by Rochas. I use nutmeg when preparing meatballs, but I'm not a fan of the smell and taste so I always use it sparingly. No way for me to tell how old it is, but it still smells as it should with the vanilla deepened, making it more gourmand to my nose.

I had this when it first came out, and while I loved it, I felt it was a little mature for a 20 something year old. The breath of desert air carries messages from foreign sands into your cheek and into your impressions.I do see how some people smell a root beer like quality to this, might be only the vintage formulas.
