The biography has gone through many reprints in English and it has been translated and published into many languages [4] including French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Dutch, Malay and Tamil. Also there is Al-Waqidi (and the references are to Marsden Jones' edition of Kitab al Maghazi, A Chronicle of the Prophet's Campaigns, by Muhammad ibn Umar al- Waqidi).When the clans in his own tribe of Quraysh could not come to terms on who should be privileged to carry the sacred black stone inside Kabah, he intervened with an ingenious plan which was acceptable to all. Or perhaps, people were fascinated by the miraculous nature of Muhammad and his numerous "miracles" presented in this book.
