There were couple of reasons given for these actions, but none seemed convincing enough to make you think that about 900 people deserved to die. Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. The late Dr Martin Lings, formerly Keeper of Oriental Manuscript in the British Museum and the British Library, is the author of three works on Islamic mysticism, A Sufi Saint of the Twentieth Century, What is Sufism? Listen in as she takes six different people on a career change journey to help them figure out what work they would really love to do and create a plan of how to make that career change happen. When companions sold arms and armours, Muhammad said "a body of my people will not cease to fight for the truth until the coming forth of the Antichrist" (p 329).Bringing their own unique and counter-balanced personalities to proceedings they ask questions such as: what is happiness?

The function of the Qur'an and by extension its example in the life of Muhammad was to “re-awaken in man his primeval sense of wonderment which, with the passage of time had become dimmed or misdirected.ParabolaMartin Lings's biography of Muhammad is an internationally acclaimed, comprehensive, and authoritative account of the life of the Prophet. Now Caine delves into the real stories behind the gangs we think we know so well, revealing the hidden realities behind the myths. This revised edition, which represents the final updates made to the text before the author's death in 2005, incorporates important additions about the Prophet's expanding influence and his spreading of the message of Islam into Syria and its neighboring states.

Upon its first edition, the book was subject to criticism by some Muslims who decried the "Perennialist poison" in the book. In recent weeks, made the point of reading this very important Seerah/Biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH-SAW) by Martin Lings entitled: Muhammad his life based on earliest sources after being reminded when the late Queen Elizabeth II passed away on 8th September 2022 and her immediate successor monarch - eldest in seniority former Prince Charles now known as King Charles III - who highly recommended this book due to his historic views on ‘building Bridges between Islam and the west’. The biography has gone through many reprints in English and it has been translated and published into many languages [4] including French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Dutch, Malay and Tamil. Also there is Al-Waqidi (and the references are to Marsden Jones' edition of Kitab al Maghazi, A Chronicle of the Prophet's Campaigns, by Muhammad ibn Umar al- Waqidi). When the clans in his own tribe of Quraysh could not come to terms on who should be privileged to carry the sacred black stone inside Kabah, he intervened with an ingenious plan which was acceptable to all. Muhammad’s prophecy was first acknowledged by Bahira, a Christian monk, when he was only nine years of age and was following a caravan. Clearly, this Seerah/biography by Lings gives a very good account of the noble prophet Muhammad (PBUH-SAW) and portrays him as a living, talking and walking Qur’an during his life on this earth and a mercy to the worlds and everything that is in it. Or perhaps, people were fascinated by the miraculous nature of Muhammad and his numerous "miracles" presented in this book.
