We recommend setting up the Brawler64 USB and calibrate all the inputs using the “Set Up USB game controllers” in the Windows control panel. Introducing the Brawler64 Gamepad by Retro Fighters, a completely redesigned N64 controller with next generation features and attributes. This is especially true with the Retro Fighters Brawler64 and made worse with a memory card inserted into it.

I can get used to that, but I think it could be better if the A/B buttons had a different texture in this format so it’s easier to tell them apart by feel. The Z buttons feel like buttons this time around as opposed to the triggers on the original wired version, which I think is an improvement. The switch actually reads it as a N64 controller in N64 mode and a pro controller in pro controller mode, as notated by the icon at the bottom of the screen. The Brawler64 USB Wireless Edition showcases a two handle design and features responsive and comfortable buttons, D-pad and analog stick. I'd say this controller is by far a better controller than the original even with the longer travel triggers.Despite its flaws with the L-button and stick, something which Retro Fighters are addressing themselves with replacement controllers or replacement pieces, depending what the backer has decided on.

To cut to the chase, it’s not very good as a general controller, and its shape doesn’t exactly fit the hand as intended. You’d think the back case would prevent this, but the L and R buttons have some free room to roam, and if they didn’t the stick would hit a stop.

The Z buttons on the brawler are actual triggers, and anyone trying to play a game that uses them often knows how terrible their triggers feel. For once I was blind and now I can see, I'm absolutely blown away by this controller, I love it so much I'm upgrading so I can have four of them, all in different colors, the red one is on its way as we speak! In terms of build quality, the Brawler64 is sturdily built, and it's clear that Retro Fighters prioritized durability when designing this product. Alternative Projects is dedicated group for Muv-Luv related translations, now working on the official English version of Muv-Luv. If the controller uses standard dimension pieces, of which I’ve got no info on, it probably would function as intended. My one and only thing I dislike is due to the form factor, the A/B button are where a right stick normally is, so my thumb doesn’t naturally rest there. It would have been nice to have rumble built in, but I am otherwise very very happy with this controller!

The reason why standard N64 D-Pad at the time felt so good in hand was due to its larger radius in the corners.Works well so far, only gripe is theres no rumble but lets be clear thats nothing to do with stone age gamer. The Brawler64 Wireless Ultra Edition comes with a circular gate just like the original Ultra64 controller. As a result, your viewing experience will be diminished, and you have been placed in read-only mode. Starting with the aesthetics, the Brawler64 retains the classic look that us die-hard N64 fans love, while simultaneously incorporating a more modern, ergonomic design.
