Like we all knew that Julian was in love with Magnolia, which I agree doesn't make any sense, we didn't need that many chapters to get it in which many scenes are exactly the same as in TLWH. He kept Magnolia in the dark about his life and recklessly put her in danger, which resulted in Magnolia getting injured and Bridget's death. Also, even though it‘s the same universe and they are completely present in each others lives I loved the different vibes in Magnolia‘s books and Daisy‘s first book. The only real conversations they have is when Magnolia talks about how in love she is with BJ (as she should).

So when this already bad scenario was interrupted by MAGNOLIA (yes, again) because she was feeling lonely and then she started styling this random man right in the middle of the meeting I was this close to start shedding tears of frustration. This book was supposed to be about Christian and Daisy’s relationship, and the aspects of it we’re shown in the book I liked, but I felt their time together was overshadowed by Julian and Magnolia. I liked that she made friends with women (Taura and Magnolia) but again, Taura was her first female friend but we got NOTHING about them but Magnolia filled all of Daisy‘s chapters.I feel like many readers are being led down a path to want Julian and Magnolia together, and it’s insulting towards Magnolia choosing BJ. too many plot lines, too many useless characters (YES TILLER, I AM LOOKING AT YOU) and not enough twists. I feel like as we know Magnolia has some big daddy issues so she kind of looked at this older guy for the protection she needed, but she didn't love him. My heart absolutely breaks for her and I hate that we never seem to dive as deep into her trauma as we do with other characters. Magnolia - Magnolia was the other character who had the biggest disservice done to her in my opinion.

Even the cover points towards Julian, another disappointment, as the story-telling tattoos feel repetitive after learning how important BJ’s tattoos about Magnolia are in MP1 and MP2. i am a firm believer in it’s his fault, he caused mp lovers pain, daisychristian lovers were so close to a happy ending, we were so close, we are always so fucking close please jessa give us A BREAK.And I just have to say… a meeting with the most dangerous men of the country in Julians house is unrealistic. he’s probably one of the reasons why i hold such a strong grudge toward magnolia, she literally manipulated the shit out of him, and i’ll just never forgive her for that. my heart does break for him, because he’s a gang-lord that word always makes me cringe a little ngl, and loving someone means putting them in danger, which makes things a lot more complicated for him. I’d sidetrack my whole fucking year for five minutes alone with her, but by way of miracle I’m getting a lot of her five minutes these days — and I’m not going to fuck it up this time. Julian and Christian switched personalities in this book, but instead of being a funny pathetic like Christian was, he's just a sad pathetic.
