About this deal

Ranjit, a farmer in India, takes on the fight of his life when he demands justice for his 13-year-old daughter, the victim of a brutal gang rape. Interessante Doku mit Interviews der Darsteller und Mitarbeiter hinter der Kamera, am Set und der Leute aus der Maske, zum 25. A fine documentary about the franchise (the first 8 movies) and interviews with people who work on those movies. For devoted fans of the Halloween series who couldn't make it to that legendary event, this is definitely the next best thing to actually having been there.

But the first disc isn’t done yet, as a host of additional interview snippets shed more light on assorted side topics. The documentary does get a little bogged down at times in showing clips of the movie, but the interviews are quite wonderful to see. With Zombie preparing his entry for, one presumes, a 2007 release, Halloween’s legacy will obviously extend beyond 25 years (and already has, if you want to nitpick). Sending the stage appearances off on a high note, Akkad and Yablans appear together, fielding audience ideas for the ninth film, going into detail on the ’78 film’s origins and giving both their fellow Halloween creators and the franchise’s devotees due appreciation. For the first time, cast, crew, critics and fans join together in the ultimate 'Halloween' retrospective. The most delightful element of this thing, however, is seeing plenty of vintage stills and 'making of' footage from the shoot, which will be of great interest to any fan. Es fehlen nur die Bewertungen der neusten Teile der Reihe, da es diese eben noch nicht zum Zeitpunkt des Erscheinens der Dokumentation gab, sonst wäre perfekt geworden. Not because there is excessive gore and violence, but because of the skillful amalgamation of suspense, atmospheric music score and brilliant direction. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Yet if the rocker-turned-filmmaker makes good on his premise to reinvent the franchise, it could mean a welcome new beginning for Halloween—and if such becomes the case, there’s no better way to close the book on the original series than with this DVD package. Also quite fascinating was the coverage of fans and the activities attending the first Halloween convention in 2003.However, those more familiar with the Halloween chronicles may find that, regrettably but inevitably, the most interesting material on view accentuates the negative. For those of us who have been following this film series for years—the devotees to whom this package is most directly pitched—some of the two-disc set’s material covers pretty familiar ground, but there are also plenty of surprises and enough fresh material to satisfy even the most jaded Michael Myers maniac. years later, the 1978 "Halloween" still stands tall as a testament to talent, ingenuity, and passion, as a mostly quite young film crew set about to make a horror movie that continues to be hailed as a classic. The titular 84-minute documentary is surrounded by such a surfeit of supplementary material that it almost becomes too much of a good thing, even to a die-hard Halloween fan like myself. essentially from H3 onward, in my opinion, I was nevertheless equally intrigued with the stories and info on the later films of the series, which I think speaks to the quality of the show's craft.

soundtrack was created by Chace Productions in association with Alan Howarth using the original 16-track music studio master and the original 35mm magnetic dialogue and effects tracks. Intensely driven, he overcame personal and professional challenges to secure his place amongst the greatest vocalists in history. I was impressed by the collection of interesting documentaries and interviews over the four discs and having a remastered copy to replace my outdated VHS copy is very satisfying. In one convention clip, this devotion is rewarded when a drawing is held to award a lucky fan the chance to appear in the ninth Halloween; the winner is a cute girl whose victory is evidently unrelated to the fact that she flashes the documentarians’ camera elsewhere on the disc.

I have been a fan of Halloween since first seeing it many years ago and being truly scared by what I saw. The buffs’ enthusiasm is celebrated through a look at assorted props and memorabilia, and snippets from numerous tribute videos; among the most amusing are one done in claymation and another in which two actors perform a brief condensed version of the entire series. For the casual fan or the uninitiated, it’s a thorough primer on how a simple idea from the mind of executive producer Irwin Yablans spawned an enduring horror legend (and, eventually, cash cow). The first quarter century of the Halloween saga, from the 1978 original to 2002's Halloween: Resurrection, is thoroughly tracked in an 83-minute documentary on the subject. In other taped panels, H4 and 5 heroine Ellie Cornell is most likable; cinematographer Dean Cundey is intriguingly technical; and a Michael Myers reunion allows seven of the masked murderer’s alter egos to reveal their favorite kill scenes and recount the various injuries they suffered.
