The mesh design on the front, top and side panels of the O11 AIR MINI have been optimized to allow maximum airflow from different sides of the case to the temperatures stable and low. O11 Air Mini guarantees abundant airflow in the case that allows the system to run at peak performance. It comes configured as an ATX case with 7 expansion slots, but the rear I/O is adjustable to accommodate different motherboards. Our test system gave the Lian Li O11 Air Mini a hard time as it pulled 580W at the wall socket while the cooling system only had a single 280mm radiator to shed the heat. Lain Li has been working with Der8auer again, this time to create a high airflow version of their O11 Dynamic Mini. The biggest difference is that the Air replaces the front glass panel with mesh, and includes 3 fans. The durable tempered glass allows for easy and carefree maintenance and for showing off the internal components. Initially it was rather disappointing, but once the latest driver was installed it was quite impressive.Finally, there are excellent mounting options for installing a plethora of RGB fans if you’d prefer to create an incredible light show.
The modular back panel means this case can support ATX, Micro-ATX and ITX motherboards with more space for cooling if a smaller motherboard is used in the 5-slot position. The 30mm space behind the side fan / radiator bracket allows users to mount fans, thus efficiently intake fresh air to directly cool the radiator and leaves enough space to install long GPUs in this compact case. The offset bracket can avoid conflict with memory module when mounting the ATX motherboard and top radiator with fans. Finally, the front IO panel which is neatly positioned on the top of the case has connectivity for 2 x USB 3.The left side panel is made of 4 mm thick, tinted tempered glass, so you can put your hardware in the limelight. Lian Li O11 Air Mini supports a motherboard up to E-ATX, however it is much more interesting when you work with a smaller Micro-ATX as that allows you to open up the top of the case for cooling hardware. Constructed of steel instead of aluminium, the O11 Air Mini no longer retains the initial focus on ITX builds, evident in the case's larger footprint. The closest point of reference I have is the Lian Li O11 Dynamic I worked with two years ago in this EK custom loop build.
