About this deal

The textbooks are packed with grammar explanations, vocabulary lists, exercises, audio recordings, and accompanying workbooks. The Hyojun Mondaishu is a workbook filled with questions to practise what you've learned in each chapter. They're not just Japanese grammar books: each lesson features a situation with a dialogue that makes you go through new grammar points, vocabulary, and kanji while practicing reading and listening comprehension and doing some writing as well.

Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). So I dont like Minna no Nihongo, because it really doesn’t have any grammatical explanation, just examples, and all in japanese; i am okay with the japanese, but you know, still no explanation.I mean the textbook looks nice, the pictures are on a healthy kawaii level and if you like the explanations why not go the minna route. Here is a kanji workbook conforming to the kanji and vocabulary found in Minna no Nihongo Shokyu I Second Edition Main Text.

Since my office caters to Japanese clients, I was lucky enough to get free Japanese classes from a Japanese teacher (Sensei). There is also a Tokini Andy discord channel so if you’re interested in doing some of the practice exercises from the book you can do them there, and he also makes Patreon content with listening exercises (although I’ve found the free content to be plenty!Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition. I tend to use it together with Japanese for busy people and other books as they all use different Vocab and give a more rounded learning experience. There's a multi-CD package: Is that just CD-player versions of the MP3 disk that comes with the main textbook, or does it provide additional audio for exercises etc? On the other hand, Minna no Nihongo is more demanding: it features more lessons, more practice, and vocabulary. And while they can be expensive, they’re worth the investment if you’re dedicated to learning Japanese.

I think Genki will offer the same, plus the resources of Genki, the design, etc… is newer, more interesting I believe. Me iré a estudiar a Japón y me piden nivel antes de ir para saber en que clase meterme, me dicen el libro que utilizan para guiarnos en este caso es Genki 1 y 2, pero yo uso Minna no Nihongo y voy por la lección 12, por lo que no sé a que equivale con el que yo uso y por lo tanto no sé en cual meterme. I just discovered that, aside from the main Japanese language volume and the corresponding English language translation/explanation book I already have, there are many supplemental volumes per level. A reading comprehension text that can be used right from the start of learning Japanese, this book covers a wide variety of topics in various formats, and simple exercises are also included to confirm the learner's level of comprehension.A total of 536 kanji are studied in the two books in this series (220 kanji in this book one and 316 in book two), covering the kanji required for the N4 and N3 levels of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and some of the kanji required for the N2 level. I don’t have Genki, but do have みんなの日本語 - I personally don’t find the flipping back and forth to be annoying - I try to pick up the vocabulary before I read the lesson, and if I don’t remember a vocabulary word when I’m reading the lesson, I just look it up and move on. And still nowadays It’s really hard, considering my teacher is not very good, so I would definitely recommend genki over this book.
