About this deal
This kit allows you to add an interior back wall and pilots to the MPC 1/72 Space 1999 Eagle Transporter. Sold in a bubble pack, with red and black card art (series logo and rescue Eagle over lunar surface, art by Graham Bleathman). clear acrylic and templates for the windows which will need to be cut out of the beak, instructions included. When building these 14" ones I usually use decals to do the panelling but on the 22" I tend to mask and paint.
You have the option of building the stun gun as a season 1 version with the flat top or a season 2 version with two different versions of the stun/kill switch. They replace the VTOL engines under the ship and module as well as the main propulsion units; plastic baffles detail the last. I think I would feel much more comfortable masking and painting the panelling on a larger model, I may need to do a larger Eagle at some point and I'd have a bit more confidence with it having done this one. This 1/48 scale model features the authentic detail modellers have come to expect in MPC’s lineup of Space:1999 kits. This ALL NEW kit of the starship features authentic detail and is based on the original filming miniature used in the production of the television program.
Includes a copy of Roberto Baldassari's ultimate Eagle blueprints and Phil Rae's blueprint reprinted from SIG magazine.I noticed in the roof of the module and there are parts shown in place in the instructions but no part numbers. The module is about 5 inches in length, although following the more detailed 1/24 command module seen in close-up. The Eagle nose cone is a cast of the third Eagle model, and the side pods and passenger pod cast from David Sisson's replica.
