I would prefer that the charging port was on the side or something and the button to turn it on/off was like the old one. Zoom adjustment slider provides easy scaling between broad, sweeping illumination and focused spotlight. I used the light several times to light up the yard when wild animals or the neighbor dogs passed through the yard. With its waterproof feature and International Protection (IP) code of IP65, it is capable of withstanding water splashes from any direction and offers durability in various weather conditions.

Not only is it great having a rechargeable flashlight, I love that it has a zoom ability so you can focus the beam on certain spaces. With the increased battery life, there is less a need to charge it as often, so in my opinion this tradeoff just isn’t worth it. My only complaint is that it is somewhat difficult to switch between light modes but other than that, it is a great flashlight and worth every penny. The original LC40 is my EDC purely because it’s smaller, and so being smaller doesn’t so much make my EDC bag as large.

The housing was obviously damaged from the falls, but none of the damage appeared to affect the light’s integrity. To insert the battery you need to unscrew the end button cap which reveals the battery cover cap which is also where you plug in the micro USB to charge the battery. I could have better understood the location of the charging port if its placement allowed Anker to make the flashlight submersible.Living in the middle of the countryside it gets very dark, so a strong torch was urgently needed and found. In my test, I drop the flashlight six times onto a concrete sidewalk from the height specified by the manufacturer’s rating.

Guys When I use it contiunously for example 10-15 min, it getting hotter, As manuals says It can work 6 hours on medium level, So will it catch fire melt or something if it will be used for 6 hours? Now as a torch it's not the best I've owned, as when it's zoomed out it has virtually the same spotlight effect as the LC40 only brighter, but, to my disappointment, when zoomed in a bit more than half way, there's a big grey area right in the middle, which makes it unusable for walking in dark areas, as you can see around you, but not right in front of you and as far as I can observe, the lens is to fault here, due to its raised middle part shape, if it was flat, I think the beam would be much more evenly distributed. Overall, while this is still a well-performing flashlight, for most people I think the original LC90 is a better choice. After several e-mails back and forth, they sent me a replacement torch, which, despite the fact that it's often stuck in either strobe or SOS modes while going through all the modes, for the most part, works.

I have had two of these for over a year and it’s impossible to find faults for a 30 buck flashlight. The issue with a narrow tall LC90 is it probably cannot (reliably) be on its its end as a room light.
