You’ll be surprised that most of the time you aren’t bending your knees as much as you thought you were or reaching as far forward as you could for that paddle stroke. Having not tested the product yet I cannot comment on quality however service I can comment on and it’s absolute rubbish. Both beginners and advanced users alike will find the Bluefin Cruise to be a tracking and gliding machine. Other standout features include patent-pending reflective D-ring mounts to improve visibility on the water, the fixed camera mount at the front of the board and the extra-long bungee cords to keep your belongings securely in place while cruising. Beginners struggling with their form will still manage to maintain a steady course with the board’s tracking, while advanced paddlers will love the Cruise as a secondary SUP given its relaxing, solid glide. With a few hard paddle strokes, some boards will veer off course but others will be able to track well and stay going in a straight line. As previously mentioned, more than half of this board is covered with grip, which really helps you feel stable and confident on it.There’s a cool logo print across the board featuring a triangle and paddle, which we loved – kudos to the design team on this one! As we tested it, we’ve found that the average paddle will be able to inflate their board in about ten to fifteen minutes by correctly following the two action mode process. Finally, this paddle does float, but be careful about dropping it in choppy or fast moving water as it does have a tendency to float away from your board rather quickly.

We compared it to several different brands that we already have here around the office, and it is notably lighter than the rest. With the 5” rail thickness (compared to ubiquitous 6”) this makes the Cruise Lite good fun for hopping onto some rolling beach break swells. We were super impressed with the paddle in this package as it’s really developed from the previous range; the paddle is still fibreglass but is much lighter and more dynamic than before. Once this was done, there were no problems at all, but without instructions, it ate into my set-up time.
