About this deal

I've gone from being a hapless victim of my anxiety, never knowing when it would end, to having a path that helps me every single time anxiety comes up. I have read this book twice now and I have only just commenced my journey incorporating the ABC practice into my daily life. Without being steeped in the concepts and drilling them over and over, a real shift in a lifetime's worth of negative thought patterns would not be possible. his science is rooted in outdated Freudian Id, Ego, Superego and he pulls a few quotes from Carl Jung.

He suggested grounding into our bodies by first locating our traumas and with incremental attempts metabolising them by the transformative touch of compassion and feeling. With an inner child ally, it becomes easy to see that the negative thoughts cannot possibly be true. I don’t browse self-help genre anymore and something written on psychology is a no go area for me as I have found that most of it is toxic psychology which cajoles readers into believing that being self-centred, self-absorbed, self-loving and walling themselves within a fortress of boundaries are the ways to live a fulfilling life. In this book, I'll show you exactly what is going on in your mind and your body and what you can do about it. If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried every traditional therapy under the sun (CBT, medications, counseling, the list goes on…) and still can’t escape from anxiety.Kennedy ever creates a teacher certification program I would definitely sign up, because it would be incredibly meaningful to help others overcome decades of emotional pain. But learning to understand it and use it for the better is an option and that’s what this book focuses on. she made me promise to access EMDR and I had started my own path to recovery through Breathwork therapy, I also tried mushrooms and DMT and accessed an inner child wounding course. What makes this book different is its relentless focus on calming anxiety at its true source, which I will share with you in detail.

with all my will to get the help I needed I tried to take my own life because I felt I was beyond all help. I’ve gone from being a hapless victim of my anxiety, never knowing when it would end, to having a path that helps me every single time anxiety comes up. I identified with much of the pain and struggles described and also laughed out loud during many funny moments. I often say my mother was neurotic and my father was psychotic, so my psyche didn’t stand much of a chance!I don't know, I just don't think that that entire part of the book was at all necessary; I think his insights would have stood up without going on and on about LSD. That source is in a place most doctors and psychologists fail to explore, and that oversight is why the positive effects of most anxiety therapies tend to wear off over time.

O lado negativo é que o autor exagera na repetição e nas referências pessoais, tornando o texto desnecessariamente longo e cansativo em algumas passagens.I've read so many amazing books on trauma recovery / anxiety and depression and ADHD/autism spectrum.
