Some mention that it's a good sturdy workbean, while others say that the instructions are poor on assembly.

I wouldn't like to use the MDF worktops for anything heavy, such as hammering in nails, or heavy chiselling, and I certainly wouldn't want to stand on the bench, as I suspect the tops might fracture quite easily, especially with all those holes, as others have also pointed out! They say it is ideal for the few DIY jobs around the house and the bit of woodworking they have, it is very handy, and useful. We use bubble wrap or other suitable packaging materials and then put your items in relevant-sized boxes.No matter how instructions are read it is easy to assemble incorrectly - meaning one has to disassemble and rebuild that stage again, which obviously leads to excessive time for build, quality of parts is excellent. However, others say that the instructions are not so good and are virtually impossible to understand. Luckily having owned several before I had an idea and the written instructions therefore made sense.

It would have been nice if some large pictures and/or drawings of the fully assembled unit had been included, and maybe even an exploded diagram, to help understand how the various parts fit together. It took me about 10 minutes to read the instructions carefully, identify and check all the parts were present, then I assembled it - total time under an hour as it is very straightforward.

The bench took about half an hour to put together, although like other reviewers, I found the instructions a bit hard to follow.
