Small's illustrations are simple, often highlighted by plain backgrounds, allowing attention to focus on the details that deepen our understand of the characters' feelings. At once accessible and filled with strange innuendo, it shows the band circling back to begin again, from whence they came, a circle all the more magical for its radius and radiance. The six-disc set contains the album in stereo and mono, a disc of outtakes and alternate takes, the Live at Max’s Kansas City album, a previously unreleased concert recording from 1970 and an audio DVD of the album in different mixes.I am not a fan of full rhyme sing song stories, but I loved the illustrations and how they enhance the story through characters' facial expressions.

I think I figured it would just get picked up by the next record company, not realizing that MGM would own it.

But to describe Reed as having (and declaring) an 'allegiance to heroin' is a questionable thought and statement in itself. Ross Welford introduces Time Travelling with a Tortoise, the sequel to Time Travelling with a Hamster, and a whole new time travel adventure! She nevertheless came into the studio to record vocals on a song that would ultimately become an album outtake, Lou Reed‘s cutesy, childlike “I’m Sticking With You. The relationship between Bear and Squirrel makes me think of a sibling relationship where sometimes having a shadow is overwhelming but actually spending time together is the best thing!

The book's focus on sticking together is nice, but this was a missed opportunity to show how people can benefit from time together and apart. This collection ends with another memorial: “Last Night,” written by Tucker and recorded in 1998 as he farewell to Sterling Morrison who died in 1995. In contemporary music, you hardly ever hear 3/4 time and you’re very unlikely to experience a change of time signature mid-song. For example Bear will say “Ready to be there to help you along…Even if sometimes things go wrong” as he blows Squirrels house down.Or at least, that was the feedback from my reading buddies, two young ladies who are no strangers to the struggle for personal space. This is such a cute story following the friendship of an unlikely duo with a sweet message especially for and younger audience. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
