About this deal

Joe Tracini has a fairly brilliant way of storytelling and sharing a conversation about mental health. c!dal thoughts on a daily basis as opposed to the less nuanced, more reactionary portrayal and understanding of su! He's starred in many TV shows including Hollyoaks, Coming of Age and The Great Outdoors, and he's the host of the BAFTA winning 'The Dengineers'. I felt such relief knowing that what I had was a thing, because my immediate thought process on it was: if it’s a thing, you can fix a thing. So I bought it for my eReader and before too long I realized that this was not a BS account of someone's issues that I couldn't identify with or didn't give a crap about.

So I was looking forward to this print 'extended version', if you will, whilst hoping there might be some nuggets of use to someone I love. Not only is this book moving but I feel it will be educational not only for those without the illness, but for those with it to know that it’s okay to feel these things. I have a partner with BPD and whilst no two cases of this illness are the same it has given me some deeper understanding of what he must go through on a daily basis. I saw a funny post involving interpretive dance in a back yard, a woman’s leotard and yelling out hysterical made up names for dance moves.

Eu não acho justo dar estrelas pra um relato sincero sobre transtorno de personalidade mas ainda assim vou dar 5.

But if there is even the smallest chance that me telling you how I live with me helps you live with you, and opens up a space for you to be more honest about your mental health, it will have been worth it.

BPD is not openly talked about in this way and this book is so useful for those struggling themselves and for those supporting friends and loved ones with the condition.

In fact, even before the main book starts Joe does warn people that it could be triggering for some people. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise us if this goes on to be the best-selling book about BPD of all time, he really is that loved among the BPD community. Beginning his writing career in 2014, Dan's work first graced the pages of cult publications Starburst magazine and Little White Lies before moving onto Total Film, Digital Spy , NME and Yahoo Entertainment. E obrigada meu amor André por me presentear com este livro excepcional e sempre ver o melhor de mim mesmo quando nem eu consigo. I wish he’d covered why BPD is now considered a pejorative term (outdated and often catch all for people who have had trauma, they often don’t get well or the help they need because they’re judged as narcissistic, unstable/unable to get better, it’s not a coincidence that most people with BPD are AFAB); I don’t love that he talks about going off all medication…meds saved my life and through most of my 30s I didn’t want to be on them…I fear his story will encourage people to do the same.Started this audiobook with no real intention of relating, but knowing there are others out there with similar thoughts really helped me cope with a bad few months. He doesn’t delve into where his BPD came from, although it’s fairly obvious his Mum and Dad weren’t Mr and Mrs Perfect Pants Parents. At times it’s side-splitting funny, at other times I couldn’t read on without having a breather, but I got through it (much like Joe has) and I am all the better for it. Bravo Mr Tracini what a masterpiece you have created, thank you for letting us into your mind and life! But he does make it obvious they were more likely to take a pair of shears to pernicious weeds in the garden rather than dig them up by the roots.
