The King’s Bride is a steamy second chance, enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance with a happy ending (HEA). Happily engaged to the poet Amandus, Fräulein Anna is horrified to discover that a beautiful ring, mysteriously deposited upon her finger whilst tending her kitchen garden, forces her into marriage with the gnome Corduanspitz. There were also general writing inconsistencies like changing time of day multiple times in one scene (Chapter 7), but those were not unbearable and it was mainly all of the above that deterred me from continuing. she had the purest heart and never lost sight of her goals and would do anything to achieve her dreams and this was one of the things i admired about her character. A whimper of disappointment shuddered out of her” and that pulled me out of the story again and again.

Delton finds out that Xara is in contact with her cousin and her cousin is supposed to be in contact with Ifer as Delton doesn’t know Ifer is his wife. Delton also went through some tragedies in his youth, although his parents were loving and brought him up well, having to watch them be slaughtered in front of him really scarred in a way none of us can really understand.Happily engaged to the poet Amandus, Fraulein Anna is horrified to discover that a beautiful ring, mysteriously deposited upon her finger whilst tending her kitchen garden, forces her into marriage with the gnome Corduanspitz. To summaries, I really enjoyed this book and the development of the relationship between Xara and Delton.
