About this deal

Your friend finding new light and new positivity in her wish to live her remaining life as fully as possible, having stopped having chemotherapy when her terminal cancer was taking her, reminds me of a friend and my mixed-doubles tennis partner who made the same decision. The loss of young men to war, the strength of the women who were left behind is beautifully portrayed by Charlotte Betts. The only thing I can say, that some may find a downside (though I sincerely hope they don't) is that this is a book full of adjectives which though a requirement of writing (occasionally too many to allow the story to flow properly). There’s that feel-good, exciting, romantic, ‘warm’ feel that Katie achieves and it’s definitely there in Letting In Light too.

Your challenges have been steeper and there are more excuses for self pity, which is always an evolution stopper if experienced for any length of time. Random House presents the audiobook edition of Ikigai by Héctor García and Francesc Miralles, read by Noako Mori. Edith's resilience is sorely tested but as always she finds great comfort in her relationship with Pascal especially when old secrets, once again, threaten the stability of all those who love Spindrift House. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.Although fate had dealt her a bad hand, Benedict’s desertion had enabled her to meet the true love of her life and she has lived happily with her beloved Pascal in the artists’ community of Spindrift for the last two decades. And I have a large antique Japanese Imari bowl that had been openly, visibly, proudly repaired long before I acquired it … I cherish it! As Ellie is drawn further into saving the estate, she can’t help but try saving the brothers too—and she’s sure she knows just how to go about it. It was a joy to read this third book in The Spindrift Trilogy, following the lives of the children in the previous two books as they grew up to be adults in the Spindrift Community. Now, to add the rest of the secondary characters who were well drawn from [Ben, Helen, Finn, Gina, Alice, Prudence, Jane, Jack] to name a few that the reader will get a well told intriguing story that you will find it hard to put down till the end keeping you entertained.

This book opens in 1914, just before the Second World War, which has a huge impact on the community that Edith has built on the beautiful Cornish coast. As Bobby Baker says, ‘When I had serious mental health problems I was mostly judged and underestimated, but when people see the autobiographical drawings I made during that time it helps change the way they think about mental health.

Be ready for a story that you will find 'warm, genuine, entertaining, heartbreaking' and still such beautiful read that you will find it hard to put down this well written novel until the very end.

What is especially great about this exhibition is the text provided by each of the 35 artists displayed.
