About this deal

And the fact that we are actually gifted every perspective in an ethereal and romantic way really elevated the entire experience. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events. I was so lucky to have been given the opportunity to read the ARC for this upcoming sci-fi romance, and BOY was it that and a whole lot more! The scenes never felt out of place or repetitive, which is impressive give how many spicy scenes there are in the book.

But real life is so much more complicated than dreams, how can Eliza and Silas ever be together during their waking hours? He loves me through them, in pieces, like patchwork on a quilt, a stitch here, a pattern there, never completely sewn together.Silas slows down a bit to fall into step with me, listening to my explanation as Logan continues ahead.

He’d never maraude a moon for its sustenance lest he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt he would make it out unscathed. It might be seen as emotional cheating (which is something that bothers me) but I wasn't bothered much. It’s really somewhat of a pity that they don’t erect similar places on the mother moons themselves—the people there are robbed of their own significant histories for our brief entertainment. When the pair bond over their shared love for forgotten Earth-age classic literature, and the ways in which each have fallen in love with the other in their dreams, Eliza is torn between the life she’s always known on the Otera with her partner, and the infinite possibility of a future with the man she knows is her soulmate.

When the time comes and it ceases to exist, the brilliant, shining star gives itself to the universe - its tandem energy parting ways for a time before inevitably coming back together, destined to be born into the souls of living beings. The author also tried to pack a lot of flowery and honestly a little pretentious writing into the dialogue that made it very difficult to see the characters as actual human people. Trust me, you will be shocked and the confusion you feel at the beginning from not understanding the POV will totally make sense in the end.

Before the epilogue, I was leaning toward a 4-star rating, but the shock and emotions I had from that last chapter are what made me decide to bump it up to 4. The fated mate/soulmate trope is my all-time favorite romance trope, and “Forget Me Not” is like a deep dive into what the trope means. Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Along the way, they’ll unlock wisdom for those of us navigating our own coupledoms, and for those still seeking their perfect match. The Greatest Secret, the long-awaited major work by Rhonda Byrne, lays out the next quantum leap in a journey that will take the listener beyond the material world and into the spiritual realm, where all possibilities exist. I think without the epilogue it would have been a fine story, but the epilogue provides an extra layer to the story.
