About this deal

Been playing on Xbox one for a few days, other than the daily challenges I don't really use any of the missing features. Feel in control of possession in attack, with creative skills, responsive touches and a dynamic control dribble mechanic. It definitely feels like some effort went in to making the port, and although it's not for everyone, it's certainly welcome to the system. I'll see what others have to say, which could be a while as journalists only got their review copies today like everyone else. Multiple control schemes are also featured, so whether you prefer to play handheld, dual Joy-Con, single Joy-Con or Pro Controller, there’s an option to fit your playstyle.

But Frostbite isn’t being used because EA couldn’t get it to run, according to Lazarescu — the company just felt a unique engine would better suit this iteration. Additional entries will be selected to potentially be featured in a Nintendo advertisement, these entries will be chosen by an independent judge according to which entries are considered to be the most creative, original and apt. One paragraph saying something along the lines of, "Yes, there are several features missing compared to PS4/XB1. It's information worth having in there, IMO, as it's exactly the sort of stuff that many FIFA fans will be scouring the internet to find out. What we have here is a portable that plays a quality game of football which looms glorious on the Switch screen and worthy of XB1 or PS4 (older versions at least) on the big screen.

What you will need is an internet connection, though, as the whole mode will not operate without one. For all those people going on about xbox one and ps4 versions being the ones to go for is all well agood if you own one of those consoles. Local Seasons: Match-up with a friend, play a five-match season, and keep track of your overall win/loss record. This is almost certainly Nintendo's issue rather than EA's – hopefully the still-to-come paid online service will sort out this side of things – but it's still annoying that if you want to play FIFA against one of your mates instead of a random opponent, they're going to have to be in the same room as you. The Switch just doesn't have the online infrastructure in place that should be the bare minimum for any contemporary console, and FIFA 18 exposes that once again.Really depends on if anyone wants to play with me on those, because no one I know personally wants to play me on their Switch.
