In August 2020, Nestlé launched a limited-edition variant of Munchies featuring a white chocolate shell. Nestlé launches The Golden Collection, featuring new flavours of Aero, Milkybar, Munchies and Smarties". In 1995 the confectionery formerly known as "Mintola" (near-identical in appearance to Munchies, but consisting of plain chocolate with a mint fondant centre) was renamed "Mint Munchies". Judging by Chocstress’s review, I suspect these are a little better than regular Munchies but I’m still not overly fond of them. Refreshingly minty, After Eight Bites make the perfect treat using the same iconic minty taste as the original After Eight mint however as a bitesize, treat version. In March 2023, as a part of their "Golden Collection" of chocolates, Nestlé released "Munchies Gold" made with Caramac chocolate. Square pieces of dark chocolate filled with refreshing mint fondant, each small piece makes a perfect little After Eight treat. However, being somewhat more restrained, I managed to limit myself to a single packet rather than her… er… 7 packs.New After Eight bitesize combines the popular Mint Munchies product with the strength of the After Eight brand. The original variety of Munchies are individual milk chocolate-coated sweets with a caramel and biscuit centre. Following the Chocstress’s (repeatedly) disappointing experience with Munchies, I thought I’d spare her the Mint Munchies review and do it myself.
