About this deal

If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking! Where to Find Us It's beautifully written . . . so conversational and chatty . . . it's so lovely and warm' CHRIS MOYLES Like his friend and mentor Ronnie Barker, Jason is most comfortable when he's hiding behind a character. He's quite open about that, he's not comfortable being himself in public and perhaps there may be some of that hiding behind a character in the book. Is this the real David Jason? Maybe to a degree, maybe it's the version of him he wants us to know. As David Jason recalls, in a memoir as joyous as any episode, you'd have to be a plonker not to realise Only Fools was TV gold Daily Mail

He spent much of his early acting life in local rep and pantomime, he missed out on parts in Dad’s Army and Monty Python before his breakthrough when he got the part of Granville in Open All Hours although this didn’t take off straightaway. He is of course, best known as Derek (Del Boy) Trotter in Only Fools and Horses which again took until the third series to take off and he expresses his admiration for his co-stars and the wonderful writer John Sullivan who all played their part in making it such a success. Jason, whose previous books include A Del of a Life (Century) and My Life (Arrow), said: “Writing my books and sharing my life with the great British public has been an enormous privilege, and I have been overwhelmed by readers’ support and kindness. For an actor who has been constantly working and created so many memorial characters this third volume of his memoirs shows a frustration of his industry grinding to a half.Fortunately, during my life and career I have been given all sorts of advice and learned huge amounts from some great and enormously talented people. I've been blessed to play characters such as Derek Trotter, Granville, Pop Larkin and Frost, who have changed my life in all sorts of ways, and taught me lessons that go far beyond the television set. And I've worked a few things out for myself as well, about friendship, ambition, rejection, success, failure, adversity and fortune. At the same token Christopher Eccleston would never have reprised his role as the Ninth Doctor in audio and would Andy Serkis have read The Lord of the Rings audiobooks?
