The whole seat tilt issue is one of cost. But there’s a more fundamental design niggle in the Anda Seat Dark Demon too. It has a “class 4” pneumatic lift, which offers 5.5cm of lift. This should be enough for all but the tallest of people, who probably shouldn’t but this chair for other reasons anyway. Changing the height of the chair requires you to use the lever located underneath the right side of the chair. The base, meanwhile, is made from iron, but this chair was extremely quiet when I rolled it across my hardwood floors and extremely easy to roll and swivel. The wheels have noise-canceling technology. They are covered with polyurethane rubber, which silences movements and lends to the smoothness and stability of the chair on any surface. It takes minimal effort to roll or swivel the Jungle. You can tell Anda Seat has previously manufactured race car seats for the likes of BMW and Mercedes Benz as the Dark Demon has a similar form factor compared to many racing-style chairs. There’s no doubt the best thing about this chair is its toughness and solid build quality, just the sheer weight of it will tell you that much. Anda Seat says this chair is designed for people up to 6 feet 5.6 inches tall (200cm), but you need to be well under six foot to fully appreciate the Dark Demon. Attach the lumbar support and the usable seat pan depth is significantly reduced. It makes taller people feel as if they’re perched towards the seat's edge. I did need some muscle to help me assemble the Jungle chair because the parts are a bit heavy. It is fairly easy to assemble though, taking me just a little over 20 minutes. AndaSeat gives you two Allen wrenches, a 3.5mm and a 5mm for setup.Additionally, the wide design makes it ideal for anyone who is of a bigger build but those of a slimmer stature might find it a little uncomfortable and imposing. This may not be the best style for breathability, but it is for maintenance. You can give fake leather a wipe down, no problem. Comfier, breathable velour-type fabrics may be less easy to keep in shape. Like the Kaiser 2, the Frontier XL looks suitable for tall guys with average builds. To verify that, we tested this chair with a slim 6’2″ model: A 6’2″ tall model in an AndaSeat Frontier XL chair. While the High-density mould shaping foam gives a generous amount of padding which is nicely curved to ergonomically support you during a prolonged gaming session.
The Anda Seat Dark Demon has 4D arms that are, as far as we can tell, almost identical to those of the more expensive Fnatic Edition. Compared to other gaming seats, the Dark Demon is hefty and takes up a lot of room so those living in smaller spaces should consider this before trying to squeeze it into your flat or house. We are fans of gaming chairs that recline an ostentatious amount. The Anda Seat Dark Demon can go from dead upright to 160-degree recline, so you’re almost lying flat. Bliss. It's worth noting this chair is for someone 5’9’’. I am 5’8” and the footrest is barely at my ankles. It sits more on my ankles and calves than it does on my ankles and feet. I don’t really know how I feel about the footrest, but it's probably not good. It depends on where you like your support to be.AndaSeat claims its AD+ materials are more durable and (for the upholstery) stain-resistant than comparable gaming chair materials. The faux leather feels fairly sturdy, though it isn’t nearly as smooth or supple as the material found on the sides of the Cooler Master Caliber R1S or Secretlab Titan EVO 2022, and actually feels slightly more coarse than the faux leather we’ve seen on other gaming chairs. While the velvet is nice, I found the fabric on the Cooler Master Caliber X1C to be nearly as soft to touch. I can’t attest to the materials' long-term durability, but you can expect the Jungle 2 to be vulnerable to cats like all faux leather chairs. If you want claw resistance, look for a fabric chair. The pad tops are made of very high density foam, for just a little bit of “give”, and the kinds of adjustment here are what you’ll find on some of the most expensive office chairs. This creates an inconsistent sensation because most of my body is on PVC leather. And who are we kidding? I don’t wear pants while in my gaming chair. Therefore, my upper body is feeling leather and my legs are feeling velvet. That’s a bit too close to sensory overload for my liking.
