About this deal

There was a lot more angst in this book than I expected and I didn’t really like that too much. Both Xander and Kim are very broken and it isn’t because of what Kim did when they were eleven. Both of them have awful parents that have really messed with their minds. Kim is basically a mother to her younger brother because her Mother can’t be bothered to do anything motherly. No, no, no… don’t close off. Come on, King.” He retrieves his phone. “Say it again, I need to get it on camera.” Deviant King challenges readers with its exploration of unconventional relationships and non-traditional romance tropes. Rina Kent’s masterful storytelling keeps readers on the edge of their seats, questioning the limits of attraction and the complexities of human nature.

Although Silver annoyed me in the previous books, in this book she came to a different light. Behind her facade she is suffering. I wonder what's Cole and her story would be. Cole is quiet but very observant. Actually before this book, I didn't have much interest but now I want to know what will happen to every character. I don’t rate a lot of books 4* my GR friends are very aware of that! This review is also based on Rina Kent’s other bully book in a boxset which was my favourite and the only one for me that had all the qualities I would expect in a possessive and obsessed hero. Now what was this ending that first encounter with Aiden made sense it falls into place. Was he with Elsa to get revenge for the death of his mum because if that’s the case I’m pissed for her because he even had me believing that he was obsessed and infatuated with her. Xander and Kim’s story sounds interesting. I’m noticing how I look forward to couples that aren’t even the MCs in these books and that says a lot 💀 I am sad that their story has come to an end, I feel like I still haven’t had my fill of them and here I thought I was going to get bored(silly me). Their story shows us that we can overcome anything and always to look for the future. I can’t say it enough but you need this author in your life ASAP. Fall in love with Aiden just like I did.The storyline is so interesting that I couldn't put the book down because there were so many secrets which made me read until I discovered them all. I really enjoyed book one, but the book two and three writing felt like it was done by a different author. It was SO repetitive with the characters' inner thoughts and motivations. Literally, the same thoughts, emotions, and plot directives regurgitated themselves over and over again here. It just felt very...directionless, messy, and childish, sadly.

A series with all 5 couples (Levi, Aiden, Xander, Ronan and Cole) in the same trope (dark bully enemies to lovers), is reaaaally too much to my taste, and I know that I will compare and I will find all the same. Her first day of school was living hell the moment when she met Aiden King, who promised her that he will destroy her. What I loved the most was how I got to see the soft and vulnerable side to Aiden. Don’t worry he was definitely his arrogant, possessive and obsessive self but with whole lot of sweetness too. His love for Elsa was fierce and so beautiful. They truly were soulmates. Overall, I really enjoyed it... just wish he would've been a little more active when it came to Kim's struggles...and can we talk about Kimberly (h bff) and Xander's (H bff) history? i bet you they used to be childhood best friends but something happened so Xander became her "bully". im getting a Jared and Tate vibes and im all for that. i think im more intrigued with their relationship and story to be honest. And Kimberly and Xander, another predictable book it will be. They were childhood friends, right. Does anyone remember Bully by Penelope Douglas ? This book ended with a BANG! and it's like the story is engraved in my mind. The whole trilogy was filled with secrets, lies and deceit with so many twists and turns that I never saw coming. Oh, and the romance!! Is it weird if I want an Aiden in my life? The same Aiden, who is hell-bent on destroying my life because of a grudge in the past? They bring out the bad and the good in each other. And as you read further, you just know Aiden needs Elsa in his life and vice versa. I love them!

Nevertheless, Aiden's character development was great in this book. Although he is mostly a psycho still, at least he had a loving and insecure side to him and I liked that we got to read his POV more often (although everything on his mind was Elsa, Elsa and Elsa). I also felt that 7 year old Elsa and 8 year old Aiden went through alot at such a young age, that plotline definitely added points into the rating But as I stare up at Aiden’s punishing eyes, my earlier thoughts shrink behind my trembling, defective heart. He scares me. Call it instinct or an intuition, but something terrifying lurks behind that easy-going smile and football star image. I’ve been imagining the look on King’s face when he finds out you’re my fiancé. You think I’ll be able to catch his expression on camera before he chops my head off with an axe?”I loved the friendship between what they like to call the ‘four horsemen’ Aiden, Cole, Ronan and Xander the bonding between them, the funny cute moments but also the moments where they pissed one another off was definitely one of the highlights for me. Ronan has to be my fave he was just soo funny and for what. Him I LOVED 😂😂 I'm going to start with Aiden, compared to him in Steel Princess he opened up a lot more through his POVs. Aiden was always either sarcastic, insecure, possessive or in love - there's no other side to him. Aiden King is the most popular guy on campus. He is dark and broody and doesn't talk much. The four of them (Ronan Astor, Cole Nash, Xander Knight and 'the mighty king' himself) are also known as the 'Four Horseman.' They are the golden boys of the town and loved by all. I highly recommend this book. I loved it. There are a few dark romances that I felt held some similar plot devices to this novel, but at this point, the genre is littered by derivatives. It wouldn’t be possible for an echo not to be heard. AND READ CRUEL KING! It made me more freaking fascinated by the most demented King of the King Kingdom.
