What is she doing?" The Professor peered into the rearview mirror at his wife, who was seated behind him, next to Clare. The movie was directed by Tosca Musk from a script by Mary Pocrnic. Is there a trailer for Gabriel's Rapture Part 3? Thank you, Sylvain Reynard, for bringing us more from the Emerson’s. Reading Gabriel’s Promise was like visiting family.

As for Julianne, she is a natural. A loving, resilient mother and wife. I love how independent she is and refuses to be manipulated. She's so intelligent and bright. Just like her husband. Her character is very close to my heart and she will always be one of my favorite heroines in romance books. For those who have read the „Florentine series” there were a lot of clues and points to connect, which made the reading very delectable. It was a very enjoyable book, but too short for me to give it 5 stars. Don’t get me wrong, the joy of meeting Gabriel again was enormous and I really hope Sylvain will continue the series, even with glimpse and pieces, I’ll take anything. 😊 Gabriel’s Promise” is my first read of 2020, and as usual, SR sets the storytelling bar high for my subsequent reads this year. I’m giving this novel five stars for it’s heart, humor, sexiness, and the mere existence of the dazzling Prof. Gabriel O. Emerson. The community of Dante specialists was not particularly large, and Professor Gabriel O. Emerson was well known. He'd been the top student to graduate from his program at Harvard, and in a very short time he made a name for himself at the University of Toronto.Should you read this book? If you have read the other ones certainly! Sylvain’s prose is still magnificent and reading about Gabriel and Julianne’s “Happy Ever After” warmed by heart. Todo va relativamente bien, hasta que Gabriel recibe una invitación para una prestigiosa cátedra de profesores en Escocia, pero decide no comentarle nada a Julia ya que significaría estar ausente por un largo tiempo. On the other hand, even if Sylvain Reynard took care to show us their passion still intact and even added some dangers and angst in the story, the intensity, the despair that affected me so deeply in the previous books was absent or muted. I must also confess that the intricate discussions about Dante and the other theories …lost me. I love learning more about Italian culture and art but it was just too complicated for me to follow everything. Add to this what I believe is an open ending as one of the book’s mystery is still unsolved and you have the reasons why I did not give this book a 5 stars. It has been years since I have read initial trilogy so it is hard to recall the details. But I clearly remember beautiful prose, easy flow of the story and emotional impact that books had on me. Sadly, all these aspects are completely missing in this fourth instalment. Dialogues felt rigid and forced, storyline dragged. So even though it was lovely to revisit my beloved characters, I can't help but feel that this book has no added value to the series. Plus, there was a bit too much professor-y-show-off Dante stuff in here. I didn't sign up for a college course. I wanted to read an amazing romance and not chapters after chapters of Dante and hell and faith and whatnot! I love the prologue - the tiny little heartbreaking glimpse into Dante & Beatrice, but that would've been enough for me!

When Gabriel and Julia Emerson first lay eyes on their newborn daughter, Clare, they realize life as they know it will never be the same. Gabriel has vowed to be a good father when he suddenly receives an invitation to give a series of lectures in Edinburgh, Scotland–an opportunity of high prestige–but that would mean leaving his wife and newborn child in Boston. Hesitant to bring it up, he keeps the opportunity from Julia as long as he can, not knowing she has a secret of her own.Gabriel?" Julianne's voice interrupted his thoughts. "Do we have everything? Rachel took home the flowers and balloons." Most of the characters from the Gabriel’s Inferno trilogy and the first two movies in the Gabriel’s Rapture trilogy return for Part 3.
