Fully fire retardant - flysheet, bedrooms, mesh and groundsheet ALL fully fire retardant to British Standards There’s plenty of ventilation panels around the tent, and a large zipped one that runs along the rear of the bedroom which is great for keeping that area cool. We had rain and sun, and didn’t experience any problems with condensation building up inside the tent. The middle living area is spacious with sewn in ground sheet and plenty of light, with all the options for with or without curtains, fly mesh etc. Low and high level ventilation made for a condensation free night on the first night.

These curtains provide a darkened sleeping environment, ensuring you and your family can get a restful night's sleep, even during the day. This feature is especially helpful if you're camping in an area with extended daylight or if you have young children who require a dark sleeping environment. This tent is all about show and nothing about quality of build. One night and morning of light rain and it leaked at three points (maybe more) at the seams. The water literally poured down the side of the air tubes and pooled on the ground. The Hi Gear tent range are winners of the Best Family Tent 2020 award from the Camping and Caravan Club. The Hi Gear Horizon 400 Air tent is quite weather proof. Optional storm straps are included for the front and rear of the tent and adjustable aluminium storm poles maintain stability in windy conditions. The flysheet is made from premium Oxford tent fabric that is tested for water resistance to a hydro static head of 5000 mm. All the flysheet seams are sealed. Mid and low level venting keeps condensation under control.

Also, with the front door wide open, having no ground covering in the porch gives the feeling of bringing the outside indoors. Premium Oxford 5000HH Flysheet – Resilient embossed Oxford fly with a more than adequate Hydrostatic Head. This living and bedroom area has a built in groundsheet, so no worries if it gets a bit wet or muddy, you will be nice and dry inside. From our experience, darkened bedrooms are always cooler, meaning you should be more comfortable on hotter nights. The centre divider can be removed to create a single large bedroom and if you are worried about feeling closed in a claustrophobic, there are large mesh covered zipped panels front and rear that can be opened up to let both light and fresh air in – the best of both worlds.

There are power/electricity access points on both sides of this tent. This is handy as many other tents only have them on one side, and this can mean having to run cables all around the outside of the tent or even having to pitch in different places so you can reach the electric supply.
