Remove the filter for cleaning. This can be done with a brush or the filter unit can be washed in warm water. Please make sure that it thoroughly dry before re fitting it to the cleaner.

It's very light weight easy to maneuver not totally happy with the suction power of the hand tools which I would expect to be a lot stronger considering it's a brand new vacuum and the newest release from Hoover but it did the job well. To remove the filter you will need to twist the lid off the dust box and lift it off. Twist the filter to remove it from the lid and separate from the mesh screen. Dust everything out but for best results wash in warm water and let dry thoroughly. To keep your cleaner working efficiently the 2 filters will need to be regularly cleaned. The first filter is found at the front behind the cover as shown. This is the exhaust filter. It was very easy to assemble there is one screw which is in the main part of the machine that you remove and you put the handle on and then insert the screw and that's it! 1 screw and it's already to play with This is a great vacuum cleaner for those who need something small and compact to fit in their home. Fit a new bag and clean the filters

To get the best suction power and prevent your cleaner overheating and cutting out we recommend that you keep your filters and dust box clean. Remove the dust box from the cleaner by pressing the release catch next to the handle. Place it over your dust bin or a bin bagand open the dust release flap. I emptied the barrel after 2 full vacuums. It was needed. It was one handed, after I removed the container. It was easy to do, and the no touch feature was okay. You still have to pull out any heavy pieces like hair, etc with your hands, but that's okay when you don't have to dump the whole thing trailing dust as you're doing it. Lift the filter off and dust outor wash in warm water to get it really clean. The cyclone unit inside the dust box can be removed by pulling it out with the lifting hook and can be washed out under some warm water.

We have laminate flooring which is difficult at best and close to impossible to keep clean. It can't use beaters and even the wheels can cause floor scuffing. Don't get on me about getting the floors actually "clean" since you can't use water on them. If we had known, well hindsight is more 20/20 then prior. And when you have throw rugs down, even room size rugs are problematic because NO BEATERS can hit the flooring but required on the rugs to remove dirt, and my husband has severe eczema that runs in his family; he literally "snows" with skin.A problem I have with it is that the cord comes out of one side by pulling it and the button to retract it is on the opposit side of the machine.

Empty the dust container and clean the filters (1)

The tubes bring a touch of class to this affordable cleaner. They’re a metallic-painted steel and telescopic, with a clip release and several ratchet points so you can achieve a variety of lengths. This is a better piece than the simple push-fit chrome steel tubes often found at this price, and proper sleeved ferrules at either end ensure tool attachment and removal is far easier too.
