Wie, dir geht's schlecht? Kauf doch einfach jede Menge Zeug! Duftkerzen, Badeschaum, Notizbücher, tolle Stifte, Kristalle (Levin sagt, sie hätte "fast immer einen Rosenquarz im BH"... keine Ahnung warum sie das tut, aber ich musste immerhin ein bisschen lachen), die Angebote der Autorin (siehe unten)... Kosum war ja schon immer die Lösung! Außerdem wird so viel in diesem Buch zusammengewürfelt: Ayurveda, Yoga, Yin und Yang, traditionelle chinesische Medizin, Manifestation, Kristalle, Mondphasen, Meditation, Tarot...

Eine meiner Hass-Stellen ist die über den Menstruationszyklus und der "weiblichen Energie". Abgesehen davon, dass natürlich nicht jede Frau menstruiert, war mir dieser Zweig, der sich allein auf biologische Eigenschaften bezieht und da eine Art Kult draus macht, schon immer sehr suspekt. Es werden einfach zu viele Menschen ausgeschlossen. Is it because the book is 21 years old? Were we all that naive then? Before the Great Recession, before Trump, before the pandemic, before the housing affordiability crisis, before wage suppression grew so completely staggering, before neoliberalism crushed the middle and working class . . . maybe this book made sense, once. When everything is falling apart, it is a good sign that everything is about to come together" (234). Make It Happen” by the trained journalist Jordanna Levin, is a self help text that contains all the information an individual may need to begin manifesting in their life. Levin’s book is very well structured and written, with a balanced amount of personal anecdotes, straight forward exercises and overall guidance of how to manifest whatever you desire. It expresses the importance of the manifestation equation, which is based on four of the twelve universal laws; law of attraction, vibration, action, and rhythm. If we follow these fundamental laws, we are truly able to change the way in which we create events to occur. Her numerous first hand experiences also add to the manifesting process, as she connects with her audience on a personal level. Manifestieren für Skeptiker – also das ideale Buch für mich, da ich viel zu skeptisch bin und viel zu viel hinterfrage.I’m a bit of a dreamer myself I’m always up for the challenge of going after a dream and lots of my personal goals I’m really fortunate to have come true but not every dream I’ve chased has come true …many have fizzled out to nothing and others have just blatantly failed miserably😂 but I’m quite determined (stubborn some may say) and I totally believe everyone is worthy of achieving their dreams. The key is to get out there and at least try… gotta have faith guys !!! ❤️ I think this book has some great tips to help manifest the life you want with the key element being you can’t just dream it you have to take action… so true 🙌 A wise teacher once told me, 'Becoming a master means willingness to let go of whatever isn't working in your life. Letting go of the familiar is hard.' Half-way through the book, I set it down and started to do as it preached. I've always written down things too but not as systematically as I should. I've been a blogger, a writer, an author and so I've done the structured working but we're talking about personal journaling and being very specific about manifesting your goals through writing. To be totally honest, I'm not 100% sold on "The Secret" and the simple idea that ask and you shall receive. Perhaps that is the skeptical side of me. I feel that you have to do the work, take the actions and MAKE things happen, and YET, there is so much in this book that gives this another dimension.

Den Aufbau des Buches fand ich sehr ansprechend. Es war gut zu lesen, die Übungen zwischendurch sind auf jeden Fall interessant, auch wenn ich die meisten bisher nicht gemacht habe, da ich erst mal nur lesen wollte. Sorry, aber besser wird es nicht. Alles, was in diesem Buch steht, weiß man schon. Und weil sich die Autorin immer wieder auf das eigene Handeln beruft und auch von "Sperren" im eigenen Denken spricht, kann sie sich jedes mal rausreden, wenn es eben doch nicht funktioniert. when you write something down, you begin to define what you know, and therefore, what you want. you can't have what you want until you know what it is. Writing clarifies what it is that you are asking for. God can give you what you want, ...but you have to be clear on what you want. Make it happen" ist auch nicht das erste Buch das ich zu diesem Thema gelesen habe, weil mich die Themen Wunscherfüllung und Manifestation und letztendlich auch Positives Denken sehr ansprechen.Positiv denken, sich selbst lieben, Wünsche und Träume aufschreiben, Atemübungen, Vertrauen, Dankbarkeit (oh Gott!), bla bla. Alles schon tausend mal da gewesen. Resistance has meaning, and getting behind resistance, not just around it, will set you free" (199). The universe is full of infinite possibility, potential and opportunity, but unless you are open and willing to receive it, it will pass you by.”

Nach ihrer Devise sollen wir nun also für alles immer und jeder Zeit die volle Verantwortung übernehmen und dürfen keine "Ausreden" mehr finden, wie z.B. "die Trump-Regierung".The author uses stories from her own life and that of friends and clients to illustrate each chapter. Some of these stories were long and too specific to be of help in doing the exercises at the end of the chapter. For example, the “getting ready to receive” chapter is all about one woman’s letters to her soul mate in the years before she mets him. If you want to receive anything else, this chapter is of limited value, and also I found the lengthy letters embarrassingly personal. I would have liked to see more examples of writing to receive different things, with fewer words in each example. Many chapters were like this. Natürlich ist mir bewusst, das es gerade bei diesen Themen nicht möglich ist, das Rad neu zu erfinden, aber warum muss man erst verteufeln um es dann als eigene "Erfindung" kund zu tun?
